The only BOS that seemed to do any good for humanity was the Lyons chapter, and even then they're just too good and irritating...If I could avoid the BOS entirely I would, they're useless and greedy.

I respect both Brotherhoods on each side of the cost. I believe they still have a roll to play, be it large or small in the Fallout Universe.

I too like the BoS. There a part of the series, they are a part of what makes Fallout, Fallout. Like the Enclave, super mutants, Nuka Cola, Pip Boy, etc..etc..

Hope they stick around.

Well Some Intresting Opinons Here.I Personally Like The BOS.The West Coast Are Careful And I Would Probably Woud Stockpile PA & EW In A World Filled With Deathclaws & Raiders. The East Coast Fought To Protect The Capital Wasteland From Super Mutants And Fought The Enclave In A Small War.A Noble And Selfless Cause.

I just want an different way to use pa and I'm sick of the whole "we is small but awsomesss" I dug the Midwest and east coast for giving me nice fights and wars although I do agree they are overused. I would love a new tech heavy faction to spring up from the south and take bos's place

I think a new faction exactly like the BoS to replace the BoS would be the same thing as having them here anyway. I just think that they need a whole remake on their plans. They engage in gigantic wars for technology. And it doesn't even make sense in FO3 because in FNV they hoard technology for themselves, but in FO3 they want to activate the purifier to give fresh water to every one.

If you think about it, the Enclave aren't the bad guys. What's wrong with planting an FEV in the water to kill mutated drinkers? I mean, that would cleanse the Capital Wasteland of everything unnatural. Sure it may include humans, but some lives must be lost for the greater good in this case. They are trying to clean up the mess of the war. Everyone else is just resisting because they are afraid of change.

Sorry I meant they have great tech like bos but are kinda like vault city but instead of a single city it's almost as big as a state. Also that niche may be fille by Midwest but something new would be nice

Lets not forget the BOS members who massacre a Follower's outpost. Or what about the endings when they survive and theres no NCR for them hide from or obey? They go around mugging people for their technology. Does that seem like a 'good' faction?

Also, they're incredibly overused in Fallout.

Whoa whoa. You are talking like that stuff really happened. You can t even talk about endings or what happened if you forced mary to kiss franky in fo nv. The game is about 1000 what ifs and could haves, with very few things that actually happened.

You got shot, House is a really old guy that wants a chip, there is going to be a war, and bos is hiding in a bunker after helios. That is all we know. Please don t talk about all the could haves like they really happened.

That action though could make a person dislike the BoS even if it is not canon. It may not be in the end story, but we will forever know it was a possibility.

However the reason my characters all seem to dislike the BoS. The collar they strap to you're neck. Not once mind you... but twice. Yes once was a rogue agent, but still... :banghead:

the Mojave chapter are phycopathic, and I always get rid of them(after getting all thier cool stuff of course). The Capital wasteland boS is more my style, and they dont even follow the BoS codex, or "ideals".They will die out, and the CW BoS will shake the name eventualy.

I really don't have a problem with the Brotherhood. Actually, they're one of my more favorite factions. I just wish some of the higher ups weren't complete [censored] bags and realized the order will die out without new recruits. Or unless the current members procreate like a den of mutated jackrabbits.

To me the BoS is such a minor faction in the Mojave that I hardly ever think of them. They stay down in their hidey hole and plot their meaningless plots - big woop! Except for getting the occasional nice bit of hardware from Torres they might as well be gone..

From what i've read up on about the BoS they're more or less Sofisticated, high-tech raiders. They take and horde tech that the 'filthy locals' could use to change their society to not be 'filthy locals' anymore, refuse to help society in any way (Disregarding Lyons group in F3, that actually do help the locals.) and are generally a pack of douches that can't get over their egos and do anything helpful besides "LOLTECH?, THROW IT IN THE CLOSET, KILL THE PREVIOUS OWNER."

The Midwest Brotherhood is like the Capital Wasteland Brotherhood. They take in recruits. And according to lore, the midwest Brotherhood is very strong.

According to the Fallout Wiki your wrong it Stats " As of 2277 the splinter faction consists only of a small detachment in Chicago" Here's a link http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Brotherhood_of_Steel_(Midwest)#History It's in the 3rd paragraph of the history section

They only put a slave collar on my neck once. Elijah lost his bos club membership after he left them at helios.

The time they did put it on me I was pissed until I saw the outcome.

They are a little bit paranoid I think. Its amazing they did not just kill you when you showed with a password only 2 or 3 people knew, and there were no bos with you.

Tell me where it says they steal tech and kill the people that owned it. I must have missed that in my reading about them.

i dont hate bos i just think its silly that they seem to have wasted away to nothing since end of fo2 at least on west coast :grad: and that it seems like they might go through a technological extinction as well as a biological one since they wont adopt new tech and keep using only the stuff that continues to work its like dare i say it :::::tech heresy::::: /me hauled away by ::::censored:::: :gun:

not hating BoS ,i mean i'm a fan of heavy weapons and power armors so .... but well i like House more so they end up self destructing in the end

East BoS - they helped people = more recruits , and also clean waters = more recruits , better and healty recruits

Midwestern - the most powerfull in making , actually using Ghouls ( for they're extensive knowledge and sniping skills ) , Super Mutants ( can carry weapons most people mount on assault vehicles ) , Deathclaws ( no comment ) . Humanoid-Robots ( anti bullet things ... most bullets anyway )

Western - don't really know anything about them

The BOS are nothing but thugs. As Mr. House says, all they care about is grabbing as much deadly, pre-War tech as they can get. If they have to maim and kill to get it - they will. They are no better than the Legion.

IIRC the entire war between BOS and NCR was because they wanted to take the NCR's tech. And Like Dar said above me, all they do is steal tech and horde it. Only think they dont do that raiders do is [censored].

Ohhh the war. You made it sound like they were know for killing poor grubby wastelanders over a laser pistol.

We know from Sawyer that bos started it, but we really don t know all the details. It is bad to try to take NCR tech....... it is very bad.

I wish we knew more details about it.

I love the midwestern Brotherhood. Their reasons and the way they do things is really nice, just wish they'd cut it with the whole "wastelander thing", makes me want to put a bullet through their heads.

Now the Brotherhood in game I hate. They're nothing but a bunch on technology hording jerks who care about nothing but themselves and their survival (Even know they'll die out if they keep up doing what they do in their bunker). They're also a bunch of [censored]s for calling me names, that's just not cool. Again, it makes me want to shoot them. Hell, the only thing they're good for is Energy weapons, the sole reason I keep them alive on some playthroughs, that and Veronica.

Basically Midwestern BOS = Awesome, Main BOS = A bunch of technology hoarding Jerks. My opinion, and I'm sticking to it :D

Not exactly what I was pointing at fully, but yea.
The outcasts in O:A are a perfect example of what i'm talking about. When you first get into the bunker you hear them talking of killing you for your pipboy, but instead they use you to get at the tech in the vault, then try to kill you (And fail miserably because power armor was paper mache in F3)

Prior to you getting there they killed (Oddly enough) a Gary clone from V108, and took his pipboy, but oddly enough didnt use it (I guess they derped and broke it)

The only reason the outcasts at Independence don't kill you is because you can make yourself useful in return for 'trivial' items they have a surplus of, and they realize with their dwindling numbers they're more or less boned and cant scout out to look for the stuff themselves.

The only BoS faction i've seen that I liked was Lyons, and that was only because they were trying to make D.C. safer instead of going out and hording tech.

"Ten-hut!

Alright you mutated redneck, greenskin sacks of irradiated flesh, listen up! I am Paladin Rycheck. I am in charge of training you backward maggots in the art of war and survival. In my time in the Brotherhood, I have personally trained more than fifty Initiates and I am proud say, almost fourteen of them are still alive and kicking. The Elders have ordered me to mold you flabby, hip-slapping, berry-picking, rad-rubbing, Brahmin-kissers, into capable warriors and I am gonna do it, even if it kills you. I will teach you how to eat, sleep, walk, talk, shoot, spit like a Brotherhood soldier.

First level of training will be recruitment detail. You will go to the surrounding villages and see what able-bodied primates are ready for an honest lifes work. It is your duty to remind the village elders that if they want continued protection from the scum of this world, they will uphold their end of the bargain by providing resources and their best and brightest for Brotherhood training.

Now get your weak-kneed, superstitous, soft-skin, uneducated butts to the armory. You will be issued basic weapons and armor. There are three simple rules to follow with Brotherhood equipment. If you damage your weapon, you will spend a week in the Box. If you damage your armor, you will spend a week in the Box. If you lose either, I'll kill you myself.

And one final thing ladies.

Welcome to the Brotherhood of Steel."

...'nough said. *walks off* :flamethrower:
