And why not Midwestern?

And I just think they're [censored] overdone, 6 games and 4 DLC's has had BOS in them.
Some more major implementation than others.
But still BOS.

So I hate them because they've had their time in the spotlight and should just [censored] die out already.

Most people like the Brotherhood actually. I just did 2 polls based on favorite factions. BoS came in close second (by 3 votes) behind NCR, in the current poll BoS and NCR are tied for first place.

Personally, I think that the BoS is so meaningless. They travel around the American Wasteland gathering technology keeping to themselves. They're not even like the Enclave, the Enclave already had bunkers and vertibirds and all that stuff. The BoS is just thrown together, it's just a bunch of wastelanders in power armor. Yet they act as if they're pure humans like the Enclave, but they're not.

It's like having that one ugly fat girl that thinks she's sixy.

She's not.

I like them I just think they're overused, and at this point the developers' need to place them in every single game is getting a little ridiculous. They've even had two spin offs completely dedicated to them.

On multiple occasions.

I know they're descended from military, and such, but I still think they're just thrown together tyrants that want to be as badass as the Enclave, but they can't. I mean, the Brotherhood at the Citadel didn't even have power armor until they actually reached the Citadel.

Easily answered. (New Vegas) Strapping a bomb to my neck is no way for you to get on my good side, just the same as (Fallout 3) being forced to work with you in order to kill off a faction that I'd rather work with instead...a faction who's ideals I identify with more than your goody two shoes, we can't win this fight without The Lone Wanderer doing all the work while we just mop up then take all the credit? No I can't see why people don't like the BOS :whistling:

I know, it's not like the Brotherhood are like "hey were everywhere." There sitting in a bunker and that's it (unless you do their quests, then they supposedly patrol the highways on occassion but you never actually see them patrol).

You can totally playthrough the entire game and basically ignore them, you may have to make a stop to kill them if your faction requires it, but after that, that's it.

And nobody FORCED you to work with the Brotherhood in Fallout 3, you can actually work against their interests by lacing the purifier and pretty much destroying them by calling an orbital strike on the citadel.

Technically, Elijah was not with the BoS at the time. They rejected him, in part, because he was a madman. They also marked him for assassination.

I like them more on the East coast because they're not completely useless other than loot + energy weps/PA. They actually DO things. On West coast, they really only did something in FO2 with the Enclave. New Vegas they're basically useless. Otherwise, rock on BOS. :mohawk:

wait what?

Technology

The Capital Wasteland Brotherhood primarily uses T-45d Power Armor as their primary armor, this armor is much more widely issued, being given to most front-line personnel, and not just select Paladins. Given this, it is possible that most of the Brotherhood's power armor was salvaged from the ruins of the Pentagon, and from other military facilities encountered during their journey east, and used to replace damaged or worn Brotherhood armor and Brotherhood T-51b power armor. It's also very likely due to Rothchild saluaging the Enclave's technology from the Mobile Base Crawler and overall Capital Wasteland Brotherhood usage of Enclave technology from fallen troopers, they have the Enclave's newer power armor models, such as the Advanced Power Armor Mk II,Tesla Power Armor, and finally the most advanced Enclave Hellfire armor

no no no they salvaged the T-45d from the ruins but they had the original T-51b when they got there allready

The West Coast BoS is becoming decadent and their days seem to be numbered. The Midwestern BoS is the exact opposite. Their power rivals that of the NCR apparently.

What a joke, you cannot complete the main quest without working for them and the only reason presented to work against their interests ia if your somekind of sadist or really [censored] guilable. Both choices 'against' them are senseless and hardly justifyable fromt he LW's perspective.

Then we have Fallout 1 where they send you off on a suicide mission. And they're not even serious about you succeeding in the mission, it's basically "Oh, another ignorant savage? Just send him off to Glow so he dies and we don't have to bother with him again."

And then in Fallout 2 you're sent off to infiltrate a [censored] Enclave outpost. (I'm sure they meant it as a suicide mission again...)

Never treat me with respect.

I don't remember much from Tactics but I'm sure the superiors were pretty ungrateful towards you there too.

Hahah well Standard-Issue NCR = Medium, little effective armor. Semi-Effective Ranged weapon. Rarely a very little effective weapon.

Standard-Issue BoS = Heavy, Very effect armor. Semi-Effective to Very Effective Ranged weapon. Usually very effective melee.

I think the NCR = Dead if they go Midwest :celebration:

Well, it's still a choice. The player can rationalize it anyway they want. They could not lace the water and just destroy the brotherhood.

They changed the brotherhood a wee bit to much in fallout 3. I think thats what generated much of the hate. I wanted a brotherhood I had to force to like me. :celebration:
