So, where exactly does BGS get off?..

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 8:03 pm

Ummm with what you get in it its pretty normal, they said it would be EXPANSION like DLC instead of say Horse Armor sooo really with what you get its a very very good deal, least its not $30 but I can see if they ever thought to say it would be that price.
Pretty normal in terms of DLC packs tho :/ You new to online games with DLC?

We get to go back to Oblivion
We get 2 new castle areas *one for each side to sleep in n get bonuses*
New horse
New Dragons
[censored] werewolf perks/abilities
Vampire Lord transformation perks/abilities *no more being hated as "regular vampire" F YES
New weapons/Armour
Mounted Combat
Ability to change facial features
Many more hours of gameplay, I am guessing atleast 25-35 or so

Oh not to MENTION we on xbox get it first for how many months? :/

So if thats NOT worth $20 Idk what you are smoking dude :/

I think thats it unless I am missing something please add

With this 1600 MSP [censored]? We waited 8 months just to get word of any info whatsoever..

Get this amazing sneak peak trailer, which made me extremely, EXTREMELY excited! Then I happen to go over to the "Details" about the video and it states just that.

I myself haven't personally been here in a long, long time because my Laptop recently died on me. But once I saw this atrocity.. I had to say something.

So, why exactly are we paying DOUBLE what we normally do for your add-ons? I'm hella curious...

So for you and everyone else that didn't notice what 'Radical' Said, shivering ilse was 2400. So.. you're all getting Myran over a DLC that will probably be just as good and be 10$ cheaper.

If Bethesda lives up to their word on how big they said these expansions are going to be, then yeah I'll fork out $20. They have probably been working on this expansion since the game has come out, if they put anywhere near that many manpower hours into it then they certainly deserve it as having a team on payroll to crank this stuff out is ANYTHING but cheap.

All I have to say is if it's costing us that much, this map better be bigger then Skyrims. NO LIE.

From what i've seen so far it might be HALF the size of Skyrim. I just don't get it.. I imagined ppl would be furious with rage right about now after seeing that (almost like me).

Like I said, map better be bigger then Skyrims or you better have me in Dawnguard for AT LEAST 200 hrs. (very minimal I'll accept)

You're what I like to call a so called "entitled gamer"
You think you're thinking that you're entitled to something you're not entitled to. You could just, you know, not buy it? And you realize that most 60$ triple A single player only games only give about 30 hours of gameplay at most. If you just get 20 hours of gameplay from this, then you should get your moneys worth

Meh. What I expected 1200-1600. Don't like it, apply for the beta or wait for the sales.

This isn't a [censored] CoD map-pack dude. This is basicly a medium sized expansion pack, which will probably (if I know beth well enough) add at least 35 hours of playtime. Even more if you do everything

1st off... DUDE.. when has a CoD Map pack EVER been 800 pts? I don't play that garbage anymore so I personally wouldn't know.

2nd.. if you all say it's about as big as Point Lookout.. why isn't it 800 pts? You're logics impecable...

3rd I myself wasn't a host of most of the crazy bugs/glitches this game had (though I DID have some). You'd think you'd want to make right with your community and sell your FIRST SKYRIM DLC for 800, instead of 1600?

I just want an Admin/Dev or someone to truthfully tell me why. I'm not about to "Hulk" out or anything because of it.. I just find it strange as hell. I'm frankly surprised that no one else has said anything and are just taking the beaten handed to them.

Do what you do I guess..

TBH I would pay 800MS points JUST for the vampire transformation/perks/abilities n not being hated as a regular vampire ALONE. I would pay 800 or 1200 for it at the most so all this other stuff I would gladly pay 2400 for

EDIT: Sorry for double post, I hit for it to save my edits not POST > :(

Not community, MAKE right with YOU, I have no problems with Skyrim and so does many other players, you assume that the community wants it to be 800, to "FIX" THINGS, but bethesda has, they have made more patches then oblivion EVER had, they had added NEW features for FREE, And you think they have to make "right" to the community?

They have given tons of free features since launch. Most devs doesnt come close to that. Also, they have been working on this for about 6-7 months. That sounds like its going to be huge. Probably bigger than point lookout. And besides, you could just, you know, not buy it? Because if its not worth 20$ to you, then don't buy it.

None the less, it will still be a good dlc and I don't understand why a people get so mad about it costing 400 more msp than Cod "dlc".

1. They have always been 800 and I think Mw3 bumped up to 1200.

2. No body knows how big it is so Please continue, my good sir..

3. So you yourself had a fine Skyrim expereince but assume everyone else had a bad one let alone the majority; then speak for the entire community?

Poppycock sir.

Why does everyone jump on the thought it's all because they're money hungry?
Well..... They are a business, so yes, they are sort of money hungry.

It is only 4 avatar suits. If you can buy them you can sure as hell buy this. Don't really see the fuss considering prices of other dlc. It is the same amount as Undead Nightmare for Red dead and will most likely have the same amount or more content.

Are people seriously mad about this? In an age where companies pump out DLC faster than rabbits pump out babies, that provide no content for high prices. Bethesda is actually going to provide a solid expansion for a low price, and people are mad? Fine. If you guys don't like $20 on the only DLC all year that's actually worth it's pricetag, then don't buy it. Simple enough.

No. Not at all.

An example of a money hungry developer is activision. Or M$ itself.

You do realize that the only reason the people at Bethesda cares for us, is becouse we pay for thier products. they are a business which wants to earn money, A.K.A money hungry. that is the sole purpose beth exists, and that is the sole reason they care for us. happily for us they know that they can earn the most money when playing it nice.

But on topic, I will gladly pay for the price tag for dawnguard, becouse unlike some other games, it has some content. But I also hope they can match the quality of Obsidians FNV dlc's.

You do realize that the Shivering Isles was around the same price (more expensive, if I recall correctly) as Dawnguard, right?
