Whtas happening to Uesp?

UESP is much better for people who mod or for people who care about lore.

I'm really dissapointed the UESP got shafted. I highly doubt the other one is any more official, and the lack of unofficial in the title is probably why it gets the hits.

I use both, and cross-check my information between them. If the information differs, I'll go with UESP's.

I use the Elder Scrolls Wiki, I could care less what came out first. ESW just looks better imo

I used UESP forever until I stopped playing Oblivion, at which point I completely forgot about it.

When I bought Skyrim, I instinctively typed skyrim.wikia.com into my address bar for online info. At first I didn't even realize the two sites were different, I just thought UESP had gotten a makeover.

I'm glad I noticed my mistake. Generally speaking, UESP is better organized, cleaner, and contains more information.

The point of playing devil's advocate is that you argue an unpopular point that you don't agree with in order to make the discussion better. Stating an unpopular point that you don't agree with without making a case for why is commonly referred to as trolling.

On topic, I use UESP for pretty much everything, besides pictures from Skyrim, because the wiki seems to have a very large amount of those.

Out of curiosity, has either wiki gotten around to figuring out the whole range of Skyforge Steel's improvements? I know there's been argument over whether it levels with your character, so I figured having a PC user go in and put up the ranges would be pretty helpful. I made a post in the wiki asking them to do it, they told me to use the Console commands and now don't let me post, claiming "vandalism" (I don't see how asking a question in the talk page is vadalism, though...).

Not nice to be yelled at for asking questions, so... yeah, I'm sticking with UESP. Still, it'd be nice to know for certain how Skyforge Steel supposedly improves...

What the Heck....
Uesp's skyrim pages look like A ghost town while "The elder scrolls wiki" Looks Like A libary!!!!???
What happening?
EDIT: FAIL TITLE LOL!!!

Speaking of libraries, don't forget about the Imperial Library. That offers some excellent resources on in-depth Elder Scrolls lore.

I've heard conflicting reports. Some say Skyforge Steel does. Some says it doesn't. I asked for a range for clarifaction. I was told "Please continue, my good sir. use console commands" and now can't post in the talk pages in the Wikia.

99% UESP 1% the other one... lol yeah the OTHER one.
I think some like the layout of the other site, it's full of pretty colours. UESP seems more to the point.. What do you want? THIS.. here it is! Anything else? YES That over there! Here you go. And it has everything you need, ID for everything in the game.

Found a solution to a probelm more than once for morrowind, oblivion and skyrim. I didn't know about it when I played Daggerfall... or I just don't remember.
I love it.

I always use uesp for their walkthroughs, console commands, and utilities you can't find anywhere else. The Imperial Library is next to none for the lore. Once upon a time wasn't uesp and til part of m0use.net? Or is my memory faulty again?

UESP is like rock-n-roll or blues, wikia is like top 40 pop. UESP is organized for user access and the pages load lickety-split, wikia's layout seems intended to confuse and require as many page loads as possible to find content, and each individual page takes forever to load plus requires two clicks from me to tell facebook to screw itself.

The *only* time I suffered thru the wikia for more than a few minutes was to find a map picture for locating a specific daedric shrine. And after suffering thru those countless clicks and wasted time, I did at least realize that since my character doesn't have the internet to search locations (nor, in this case, anyone or thing in-game informing her of its specific location either), I was not only wasting my time, but blighting my immersive rp experience. Hey, wait, that means I *can* say something positive came out of visiting wikia. YMMV.

I prefer the Wiki because it is more modern, or has a more modern look and feel. I use both of course and hold no alegience to one or the other, lol.
