Some may disagree with you about the missle weapon aspect.That is part of the problem.If you don't factor in what makes a spear unique it becomes just another weapon.Does it really add that much to the game if it is just another 2handed weapon?Some will say yes some will say no.
If they do get implemented remember they can track certain info from steam and live so play with your spear constantly.Even if you are unhappy with it take your spear out at every opportunity.
