The developers have explained this many times. Argonians are not reptiles technically. They have reptilian, amphibian, and mammalian features (hence the briasts). I've read from several sources they even switch gender halfway through their lives. They're just.....odd, but that's ok because they're argonians. They dont have to fit in with any real-world taxonomical definition.

Yeah. But funny thing is, real life is so much more intricate and odd. Some real life reptiles can actually breath under water. Its not through their mouths and they don't have gills. Care to know where?

Someone above mention in TES the child takes the race of the mother. This could almost be stretched to match reality; kleptogenesis. Though this would limit it to always being female argonian and male XXXX.

I think everyone is overthinking it though. Femgonains have briasts so people can tell the difference. Otherwise, you'd have to probe their cloaca. And they don't like you probing their cloaca...

As I said before, they have briasts because they're not reptiles. The devs commented on this before when explaining argonian physiology. They were trying to explain that they're not reptiles and they used their briasts as proof. Literally. They said to look at the female's chests haha.

Of course the simple explanation for Argonian boobs is that the devs are too lazy to adapt all of the clothes and armor for them to be flat chested, so all of the females ever have the same body model.

I don't understand how briasts containing mammary glands could possibly benefit a reptilian race at all since they don't feed their children milk. Unless they can spray venom from the briasts or magically their children drink milk, its pretty much useless lol.

Additional shelf space is never useless.

It was not laziness guys.......agh......it's intentional. Argonians are not meant to be fully reptilian. Look at the tribes shown in Daggerfall and Arena: they're basically human. Argonians dont work like we do. They dont fit in with earth's animal kingdom.
