I don't, I always wondered where they found an ample food supply.

I guess I kind've miss the mutants altogether, it seems like there's so few of them in New Vegas, they made the background look so much more interesting.

I don;t actually.

They were an interesting enemy even if they are easier to take down than Overlords. But they wouldn't fit with the West Coast lore.

No, I don't like Bethesda's canon. Behemoths just seems ridiculous to me

Yup, rare massive enemies are always fun to take down. There are the Legendary creatures, but they just aren't the same.

Haven't you ever noticed the gore bags commonly found around their camps?

Yeah, and all combined probably fed one or two for a day. With the 5 that had been in the Capitol Wastes, I figured they would have pretty much exhausted the food supply within a pretty quick period. Also take into account that regular mutants ate as well.

The only semi-fun behemoth encounter was in front of the GNR building and that was because of the "OH, CRAP!" factor. I only remember 3 behemoth locations...

True, but have you ever been to Vault 87? There were terminals describing
Spoiler
the assigned experiment Vault-Tech had given 87, which was studying stimulating pheremones to create super soldiers (super mutants). The stimulant was the FEV Virus, and the terminals gave descriptions on the effects of the specimens that were exposed to the virus, 2 of which were the losing of sixual indicators, and growing discolored, reinforced skin. Another un-listed effect could have been a lesser need for nutrients & hydration, making it so they have a longer life span than regular people.

Of course, that's just a theory though.

I always imagine New New York to be full of behemoths, it seems appropriate. On subject, I'm happy to see the psuedo-science monstrosities gone.

Yes, I have been there. But, lesser for a person and lesser for something that is weighed in tons is much different. The theory could be right, I just don't could never buy a Behemoth eating only a Cram and bottle of water a day.

Just me being a stubborn ass about how I feel it jacked things up.

I don't really miss them much. They don't fit into western coast mutant society.

It's fitting that there's not an abundance of super mutants in NV, although I did like how bad [censored] the few in NV were, somewhat tougher targets.

Not a fan of the behemoths, they just floated around too much and had no weight to them. Also the one with the shopping trolly/hydrant club was a bad scale job with those items on it making it obvious. Wish they were more blobular, disfigured like the evolved centaurs with seedy growths everywhere and more than just a damage sponge, like an actual challenge.

i think it would be funny if you had "wild wasteland" you could find a teddy bear inside a shopping cart........
"MY TEDDY BEAR" and a behemoth would come and attack you

if you don't have "wild wastland" it will be a death wastelander and a group of supermutants will ambush you

Good Lord, people are talking about realism? In a Fallout game? Hilarious.

There's lots of other stuff to appreciate in New Vegas, so I can't say I really miss the behemoths, though it would have been neat (but too Lord of the Rings, I guess) if Caesar had a few tame ones on hand.

I'm sort of hoping the next Fallout has all new monsters & enemies, with no callbacks.

I always thought behemoths were a bit over the top. They wouldn't fit in the NV setting anyway, even if they did the hoky poky with a cowboy hat on.

And thus I voted: "No."

Nopper. Those guys reminds me of how they made "super mutants" as a whole as monster #325 without any rational reason other than its from a "different" traits of the FEV.

 But there are Super Mutants in the game. Or did you mean Deathclaws? Those are there too, bigger and badder than in Fallout 3.

I wish their were more large enemies of any kind really. Before the game came out I thought big horner's were going to be huge and hard to take down... Yet they get one or two shot by a varmint rifle. LOL at everybody saying "NO,NO,NO... Beth messed up canon and behemoths are stupid"...If Obsidian had created the idea, I doubt anybody would be complaining. I wanted Beth to make Fallout their own, instead of reusing enemies like Scorpions and Deathclaws, they give us Behemoths and everybody whines about canon. LOL

If anything, Beth got it right in regards to the FEV and super mutants. The Master never improved the East Coast FEV. it was left in its prewar, incomplete form. Beth made that their own and I congratulate them for it.

No, man -- you were using in-game logic (Fallout realism) which is fun. I think we're more or less on the same wavelength. Others were grumbling that the Behemoths were unrealistic because there wasn't enough to eat, which is imposing (IMO opinion, very undesirable) real-world realism on a freakin' video game about survivable nuclear war, radiation making you immortal, CRT-driven devices that outperform nanotechnology, radiation making giant insects and animals, etc, etc. If this game was realistic it would be a 40 hour starvation sim.

Those comments were just thinly veiled Bethbashing, anyway. People need to lighten up and have fun. People not lightening up and having fun makes me grumpy. LOL.
