Need your opinions.
Especially from you guys who are helping me. ;)

They're representative of each of the nine primary basic materials. I need to know what you think of my material textures with 100% honesty. Tell me what you think of the Iron, Copper, Steel, Silver, Gold, Moonstone, Ebony, Orichalcum, Moonstone, Alchemical-Silver & Glass.

"A Nordic longsword crafted from daedra heart infused ebony" should probably be "A Nordic longsword crafted from ebony, infused with the soul of a daedra". I like the color combinations for the most part, are you planning on including the appropriate gem stones in the crafting recipes? Also, do the swords use environment mapping? I thought it was used really effectively in the vanilla dwarven armor texture, it would be good to see it used elsewhere.

Don't worry about the description, lol. That's not important right now. My only concern is the material & texture. Make sure you make the picture full-size when looking at it.

Yes, gemstones will be required for those weapons that have them on the model. Yes, I am using environment maps.

Cool. The only change I'd make would be to make the red bits on the Daedric blade a bit more saturated and glowy (the blade part, not the handle).

The blade fuller is what's using my Daedric Heart material texture. The handle is blood-soaked leather. I could look into adding glow maps.

That would definitely give the impression that a soul's been trapped in it. The rest of them look great to me.

I think they all look pretty good. The stripe-ish patterns on the glass seem just a tad bit odd to me, but then again I don't work with glass much at all (and haven't played MW or OB) so that is probably nothing much more than my own opinion. I'm generally a fan of silver over gold but that moonstone sword looks absolutely gorgeous in that screenshot. By far my favourite of that set.

As for the glow map, I definitely think a faint glow or a pulse would be amazing on the daedric stuff. But I stress faint :o

could you please make the Flavour text optional.
Why?
because it's clutters the stat box.
because I find it annoying and don't want to have to remove them my self just like the blade of woe(it's the only model I changed back).
because options are good, therefore more options are better.

That's a false premise and a false conclusion. Options are not inherently good. And even if they were, more would not necessarily be better.

Your errors in logic aside, what you're asking for is silly. It is quite a lot of work. If you'd like to do it yourself, go ahead. But I should not expect Baratan to do it when he clearly wants to release something else.

all of these "unique" weapons are in the game... and they look better, then your version... but what is this? just a colour for your weapons mod?

Ishmaeltheforsaken,
In case you didn't notice, All of my textures are being saved to the correct format (DXT1/DXT5) before they're available in-game. Thanks for the tip. :)

Hm... took a look at nordic longswords.
Glass longsword could use blade retexture(that repeating stripe needs to go).

I think all of the nordic swords could use some highligts at hilt (iron and ebony are perfect examples, by "highlights" i mean different colours). Well, dwemer is great without it, but, hey, it's dwemer.

Orichalcum texture, imo, should be nonuniform and much more cruder(?).

And, personally, I don't like silver\glass combo, but it's just me, I guess.

All statements above are solely my opinions. You can ignore them, if you wish)

Glass probably isn't going to change again. It's been changed a half of a dozen times up until this point and the current texture was chosen by the group. Not unless you have a better idea?

The weapons that don't use precious metals don't use precious metals for a reason. Unless you have better ideas. Dwemer is essentially never used with any other metal on the same object. Steel is supposed to represent strength & functionality, adding a precious metal would take away from that. Besides, I think most players (including myself) would be annoyed with needing to use gold or silver to forge a sword out of steel. Besides, if steel was paired with a precious metal it would be less different than the other metals which are paired.

Orichalcum should be cruder? How & Why? It isn't paired with a precious metal, like steel, in order to make it look more basic & functional.

Looking at these swords it makes sense to just replace the Daedric Heart material texture in the fuller with something glowing, but for other more intricate weapons (I was just looking at the Daedric great ax for one) a combination of your Daedric Heart material with a few glowing highlights would probably look good.

order of operations, if the flavor text is done last then everything is easy. It's only when it's done part way through that it becomes "quite a lot of work".

Except when it comes to mod maintenance. Having to make every edit twice in two different .esps is a hassle, especially for a mod that literally adds hundreds of weapons.

I'd like to add runes, like I did on the Wings of the Queen of bats, but I can't figure out how to make glow-maps display in-game.

Are you interested in having a Wiki set up for your mods Baratan? The ones I am currently using are this one and Glowing Ore. (At least now I can find the svckers in game).
