However, Akatosh being pro-Mundus isn't a purely Alessian idea. Though Lorkhaj was punished in Khajiit myths, Mundus is seen as a good thing by the Khajiit.

Which brings up something that bothers me: Why do people only cite Altmer myths? At best, Nordic religion is offered as an alternative view. Other cultures might as well not exist.

In this thread at least it's because we're talking specifically about Auriel. Aside from that, it's because the two most well-fleshed versions of myths where they are important are the Nords and the Imperials, who borrow heavily from Altmer. If the Dunmer cared about Akatosh then we'd probably still be talking about those ones.

I'd say the Kalpas get a good deal of respect nowadays. But Nords lack a creation myth, which puts their views on the backburner at times. They are truly the odd ones out, since most other cultures are easily fitted into the Altmeri view. The Monomyth is basically the stories of most non-Nordic cultures.
