Bethesda, you might want to tone down the violence in the ki

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 2:35 pm

Why do I get the feeling that this thread started out as sarcastic humor. Hmmm...maybe I'm reading it wrong.

Either way it has spawned into another stupid "six in games = porm" debate. Usually from the same people that watch R rated movies and read steamy novels, yet they see those as great reads and epic films. Then you mention the first sign of nudity in a game and they start screaming....porm, burn it!

It is pathetic...

The game is rated Mature. That means that it can contain six, nudity and/or brutally horrific blood baths. I personally welcome them all. As is stands now, Skyrim is hardly anything more than the equivalent of a PG-13, let alone an R movie.

I want body parts and inners flying everywhere. I want my melee char covered in crimson.

EDIT : I can her it now..."Then go play DA" Those remarks are as stupid as the six debate.

Bartoman, you will be shocked to find that literature such as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lady_pvssyrley%27s_Lover contains sixual content. OH NOES!
There is a difference between cheap exploitative [censored] fodder and artistic commentary on one of the fundamental aspects of human life.

Unfortunately you strike me as too much of a dullard to differentiate between the two, and you are thus prone to responding in a manner that shows what an utter fool you really are.

You sound like one of those ridiculous overfed suburban mums who blame and want to ban video games for every single act of violence in this world.

'Tone down the violence' and 'killing' is a contradiction in terms. Skyrim's violence is nowhere near the level of real combat. Even the fist-fights are rather tame.

I still find it more "realistic" that people actually wears underwear...
and why in the world should be stripping an NPC considered "artistic"?

Is it bad if I thought the first post was a joke because he shoves that sword right in through someone's butt?

I don't really mind the animations. Maybe because my main weapon is the bow and there is no killing animation for it.

Nope. But a lot of people don't seem to realise.

The game's rated M for "mature" players...if that bothers you then play G games for gay players ;)

Not a mature comment, i know, but the 1st thing i thought is if this bothers you then you're gay

You implied I in anyway supported the idea that nipbles in game would be artistic.
Which I didn't.

Shiiiiii...I'm still waiting for games to have sufficient programming to be able to actually rend flesh/sever limbs with correct physics and anatomy. Aahhh how wonderful that would be!

People who want nudity are not asking for full blown six scenes in TES, we just want the game to actually be mature.

I find this line of thinking curious in conjunction with the constant comparison between gore and nudity in relation to ratings. On the one hand, people are saying that it's silly to rate outright murder as worse than consensual six but on the other hand there are people getting irked because there's no nudity in a 'mature' game. Is the contradiction there not apparent?

Bethesda has created a game where violence is rated appropriately for once. Ultimately, I'm happy to see a mature game which doesn't throw nudity in for the heck of it, though I do wish NPCs would at least have sleeping outfits, since watching certain characters clamber into bed in full heavy armour idoes make me wince a little.

Blood and gore is not what brings the chill up into peoples' spine.

It's the mind bending brutality at which it is brought forth that does :)

I guess no one played Warhammer 40K space marine? That game makes the "gore and blood" of Skyrim look like a joke.

Just "re-read" the OP, if you want to call it that. Header and video link. I guess it could be interpreted as sarcasim.

For me I'd prefer something more realistic. With better parental control's, turn it off if you don't like it.

Nudity... hmmm the nearest swimming hole to my house growing up was at a nudist camp...clothing was NOT optional. Never bothered me in the least. That said, the majority of American's are prudes. ( yes, yes yes their are exceptions)

I was eating breakfast watching both video's, my tummy didn't even twinge. I've seen the aftermath of Real Life decapitations, their's alot of blood splatter on the wall's and ceiling, not even going into the puddle on the floor. Blunt force trama to the head?!!!!! Holy cow.

From cowboy's and Indian's getting shot with no blood ( no bullet holes either) to 'Saw" type gore. Their could be a happy medium, if there weren't extreme veiw point's on both sides of the coin. Dang sound soooo much like a lot of RL problems.

i don't understand this kind of threads! the game is 18+, so blood and violence are never enough!! if you don't like that, don't play it or...don't buy it! simple ;)
