Another reason I think this is that xbox pre-orders were very weak and they needed a reason to want xbox people to buy it. I am sorry, but the graphics ARE better with CryEngine 3. I own a 360 too, but prefer my PC.

I thought up until now that they had something awesome going with this game. Crytek is mainly a PC game company, that pushes the technical limits of PC gaming, and they are loved for that. Now they're just pissing it all away.

When i first saw the tech demo for cryengine 3, i thought 'now, this, is amazing' then i saw crysis 2. Even the 'pc footage' (the 3d bit) was just awful compared to those tech demos and even the original.

And, yup, cryteks reputation has gone, replaced by hokers and cocaine paid for by their microsoft sugar daddies.

I personally was amazed at the gameplay footage on YouTube. But it doesn't do the game justice with it's bad resolution.

I really do wish that there would be a Crytek official release of some PC gameplay footage that is quality (Very high resolution, not stretched, max settings).

THEN I could judge better how good it looks without all the low resolution crap floating around.

I watched the youtube video that was recommended, but i haven't seen anything that makes me go 'wow' at all. The designers tools are really nice though! It makes it even worse that their first game on it is a pile of junk so far.

Also, dx9-64 bit because they don't want to leak the dx11 graphics, because there aren't any, and the dx10 graphics probably don't beat the original.

I said it once, I'll say it again. Microsoft buys their way into having allot of exclusive stuff, happens with allot of games. happened with the mw2 map packs and now with crysis2 moving to platforms they made sure xbox owners had first dibs, remember... XBOX online is a payed subscription...

Also Microsoft is notorious for screwing over other game systems including PC's to bring the xbox exclusive content... Look at GTA 4 they completely screwed over PS3 with their exclusive DLC's which are not too be missed, and GTA was originally a Sony exclusive.

I am a 360 player anyway for the most part I prefer the controls and multi over the PS3 wich has become a glorified blu ray player for me and im too poor to make my PC play anything better than Quake 3 lol.

By this I meant for crytec to do such a thing, a god who would keep this cruelty to a minimum, would be nonexistant, you muppet.

I think I have said this a bunch of times but still people are hatting on a unfinished game, It still has half a year to come out and some of you are hatting on the trailers and gameplay quality and video quality when no one has seen the finished version. If you chill out and wait till the game comes out buy/rent it then go ahead and give your reasons why it is bad and good, Like that old saying goes: "Don't judge a book by its cover"

I think everyone does need to be calm here. I feel the same way, but you have to take into consideration that:

1. It's their first time in the console market, I can assume giving the 360 a beta test will get alot of peoples eyes peeled. But if it's a closed beta, remember "Closed" beta, then people will be hand-picked or will have an alternative way of getting into the beta. It definitely won't be public.

2. The game is coming out in 2011, quite a long way, don't you think? I feel angry that it's coming on 360 first, but there's a huge opportunity it will come out to the PS3 and PC.

There is light towards the end of this long running tunnel, we will reach it, but we'll have to go through it if we wish to see more of Crysis 2.

It's the reason why games that are pc exclusive shine all the brighter in the quagmire that is microsoft's 'buy out everyone to make stuff for our crap console' approach to gaming.

If this carries on much longer we will see the quality and depth of games stagnate until microsoft finally make a decent profit of their console. Maybe next time they should just stop trying to compete with pc's in terms of hardware and just accept that it's too expensive to try. Maybe then the next generation will see some separation of gaming engines and pc's will get the games they deserve.

The xbox, after all, is a more controllable pc that they can screw you out of more money for, bill gates even said so himself.

The multiplayer still looks like MW2 to me.

We are only angry because Crytek has been stroking Microsofts moneydike the entire time, and has completely neglected the other versions. PS3 and PC make up 80-90% or so of the fans and Crytek just continues to stroke the moneycock.

Its sad that Crysis 2 doesn't have an online... I know if it did because they're would be a PC beta But since its just going to be over run by console/MW2 fanboys, The online Does not exist to me.
