Crysis 2 Beta exclusive to 360? : Crysis

I was reading an article, and the article talked about the new screenshots, and it said one sentenced that destroyed me...

"EA and Crytek also announced today a closed multiplayer beta for Xbox 360? videogame and entertainment system starting later this year."

I am pretty mad PC is being neglected...

I'm doubting it at the moment. The criteria were signing up on gamesas.com and having account, so anybody with any platform should be entered. At least, I hope that is the case.

Why does every game studio make stuff for consoles and leave the pc be.. seriously, pc is better, only more people buy a console because it's cheaper

So they have more players playing it but i'm mad because if this is true I'm pretty sure it will end up like mw2...

I doubt it will happen. All I know is that it would be a daft move by Crytek to make a beta just for the 360. All Platforms deserve a chance.

Also, I don't trust that site. Until word goes into a trusted source, this seems unreliable.

I think it is just saying that Xbox 360 is getting a beta only available to people have signed up before or those that have pre-ordered or whatever the closed part probably just means that not everyone will be able to just go and download it, I dont think that means that only Xbox 360 will get the beta, Crytek will most likely release a beta for all systems ( I cant promise that though)

I often wonder if Microsoft pays for exclusive betas for games that come out on other consoles too. Regardless, the beta should be amazing.

The biggest problem I see is since its a 360 only beta, it will become MW2 from the feedback of all the "MW2 pros" with their pvssy ass aim assist.

Actually, I'm sure that the beta will come to all platforms sooner or later, but it makes PC and PS3 owners feel a bit cheated when all the news about a game that is being billed as "multiplatform" is being advertised for ONE SYSTEM ONLY.

oh my.....god. 7 months wait, NO beta for pc people.... and MP footage that (to me) looks just like crysis wars with so sky scraqer backdrops. Anyone else feeling alittle let down today?

give us trees, islands, rivers, sand, boats, sea, jungles!! should have kept the far cry series properly

I think it has to do with the 360 having a huge shooter fanbase. No PC beta? I wonder why. A lot of good shooters sell millions on PC.

I think that a much better way to have handled this situation would have been to hint at the fact that there would be betas for the other systems at a later date

It makes no difference to me. I'll enjoy it, if possible on whatever platform they release the beta on. I'm fine with 360 getting the beta.

As it is now, I'm having second thoughts about preordering the Limited Edition.
