Dawnguard is based around Lamae Beolfag awakening and whipping the Vampires of Skyrim into a frenzy. The Volkihar and Sanguinare compete for her favor by launching ever increasing and ever bolder attacks on each other and the mortal settlements. What "Dawnguard" actually is, is a special sect of the Vigilants of Stendarr that was specifically formed to combat the rising tide of Vampirism. The re emergence of Werebears also has a role to play in the expansion. That poster, is of a Volkihar Dovahkiin.

Does anyone else like the idea of BGS adding a list of things you can toggle on and off in the settings in the DLC? Things like dragon spawning for example. I beat the MQ, so I feel like I should be done fighting dragons.

Some things, yes, but not dragons. It's Beth's story and if there should still be dragons flying around after the MQ then there should damn well be dragons flying around after the MQ. Besides, If you have toggable dragons then someone else will come along and say, "I'm tired of fighting bears. I want toggable bears!". You have to draw the line somewhere.

I certainly hope so. And I remember from somewhere that Beth were hoping to release small additional content every few months up until the expansion's release (Dawnguard).

My guess is this DLC will be Volkihar Clan and Vigilant of Stendarr related. Probably it will introduce some more tension and conflicts between these two factions. Just a wild guess.

My prediction: Dawnguard is to Skyrim what Tribunal was to Morrowind, i.e. taking care of business with the major powers involved but still left standing at the end of the main game. And the only major power I can think of is....

the Thalmor

The name kind makes sence in that context - the Thalmor think of themselves as the vanguard of the the dawn of a new meretic era, or Dawnguard for short.
So the DLC will probably be us dealing with them again. What that entails is anyone's guess. High Rock? Hammerfell? Perhaps even Summerset?

Perhaps the "Dawn" is the start of the technological era, and the "Guard" is some great force trying to stop it from happening. Like with the Dwemer.

The glowing eyes... Evil Dovahkiin robot built by the thalmor? :D

Where is this vampire speculation coming from? Ingame ones don't have glowing eyes.

The glow itself reminds me the one that cloaks the Dragonborn after absorbing a soul, nothing else.

How glowing eyes have anything to do with vampires!?

And I've read the lore, so? Lamae Beolfag is nowhere on the picture. Why did anyone even mentioned her?

Nope. PC Vampires in vanilla Skyrim are Sanguinare, even if infected by a Volkihar Vampire. Bethesda didn't have the Volkihar strain fully fleshed out yet by the time the 11/11/11 deadline hit, so they just tagged the Volkihar Vampires with the Sanguinare Vampiris strain. We are already seeing Bethesda sneak in the groundwork for Vampirism improvements with their patches.
We've also seen concept art of Lamae Beolfag before Skyrim was released, and she's apparently not in Skyrim yet. She was planned to be the main antagonist in the Dawnguard expansion.

The Dawn probably refers to the Dawn Era. The Thalmor want to take the world back to the early part of the Dawn Era before Lorkhan tricked the gods.
