It provides about as many hints as 'Dawnguard' does, that is to say, nothing conclusive. Plenty of room to speculate.

That said, I think it may be something to do with TES Online. No basis for that, just guesswork- it could very well be the next DLC.

Dawnguard was speculated to be about vampires when it first surfaced.
Guard of the Dawn. Protectors of the Sun.
With Vampires present on Nirn, I think it was an easier assumption than most when speculating about DLC when you try and break it down.
As for Hearthfire, it could be centered around the 9th month of the year. There are multiple holidays. It could be about any of these.
Annual Events during Hearthfire:http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Calendar?action=edit§ion=18

  • 12th of Hearthfire: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Riglametha held in http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Lainlyn.
  • 19th of Hearthfire: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Children%27s_Day celebrated in http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Betony.
Speculating can be fun

Agreed.

Skyrim snowy mountain ranges are great but I truly hope those morrowind/cyrodil/hammerfell gates lead to some place less cold.
If we do go to Cyrodiil, I really hope they take advantage of the new technology. Oblivion's Cyrodiil was a lot different than they intended. Take a look at some imperial concept art and notes and you'll see what I mean. Native Imperial culture was supposed to be a lot more....sophisticated yet exotic. And there was supposed to be much more of a visible nobility, beauracracy and politic structure you can be a part of. Nibenay and Colovia were supposed to dress different, talk different, wear different tattoos and piercings (yes, many native imperials wore tattoos and piercings). It should be more heavily roman / italian as well instead of generic fantasy style I'd also love to see all those open plains and marshes in Cyrodiil. The only issue is we've already seen Cyrodiil. So unless something huge changed in Cyrodiil I dont think people are going to want to see an updated version of the same.

Morrowind would be great. End of story. Still the issue of more of the same, but it was ten years ago, and one of the fanbase's favourite settings.

Hammerfell is awesome. I may be biased because I'm a real-life-redguard haha, but I love their african-arab-slightly japanese culture. I'd love to see the port cities, the Crown/Forebear schism, the desert, the craggy mountains, komodo dragons, all the other odd animals, the temples for their strange religion

I must say I am exited about Dawnguard now that the trailer is out. I wonder just who the Dawnguard are(beyond vampire hunters) and who the vampires are(hopefully the real Volkihar).

Hey guys just to let you know:
Vsions popped his head into the current werewolf thread running on page one and talked about how he enjoyed working on werewolves.

here is the quote

"Anyway the future looks bright for men and women of the pack"

now he is a great artist and may just be having fun with the thread, but that sounds like a hint to me.
now I wont go all overly optimistic and say the DLC is about werewolves now, and I won't hold Vsions to this or get mad if no werewolves are in.

I do hope this means that we get some werewolf content.

Edit: Ah, actually this was two days ago, so you guys probably already know. Good info to speculate on though.
Ooo.. Hopefully it will be in the next one...

It is amusing how the expansion for Morrowind involving werewolves was of a red moon known as the Bloodmoon. Now Dawnguard has vampires trying to affect the sun by turning it red and overall, getting rid of it. Real throwback.

It seems vampires are now more of a threat than the Thalmor ever could be.

I think these vampires are the Ideal Masters of the Soul Cairn.

That would be neat since my assassin is a Deadric follower.

That shoulder-slung Elder Scroll interests me greatly. Considering you have it on your back, it's either something you need to check often... or a weapon.

That's not the standard vamp lord form. That's probably the final boss in the Dawnguard path. The real vamp form looks almost just like the Gamejam form.

That's not the player character. It's the Vampire "King"'s daughter.
