Agreed.
Skyrim snowy mountain ranges are great but I truly hope those morrowind/cyrodil/hammerfell gates lead to some place less cold.
If we do go to Cyrodiil, I really hope they take advantage of the new technology. Oblivion's Cyrodiil was a lot different than they intended. Take a look at some imperial concept art and notes and you'll see what I mean. Native Imperial culture was supposed to be a lot more....sophisticated yet exotic. And there was supposed to be much more of a visible nobility, beauracracy and politic structure you can be a part of. Nibenay and Colovia were supposed to dress different, talk different, wear different tattoos and piercings (yes, many native imperials wore tattoos and piercings). It should be more heavily roman / italian as well instead of generic fantasy style I'd also love to see all those open plains and marshes in Cyrodiil. The only issue is we've already seen Cyrodiil. So unless something huge changed in Cyrodiil I dont think people are going to want to see an updated version of the same.
Morrowind would be great. End of story. Still the issue of more of the same, but it was ten years ago, and one of the fanbase's favourite settings.
Hammerfell is awesome. I may be biased because I'm a real-life-redguard haha, but I love their african-arab-slightly japanese culture. I'd love to see the port cities, the Crown/Forebear schism, the desert, the craggy mountains, komodo dragons, all the other odd animals, the temples for their strange religion
