Dawnguard available in English or just in english regions?

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 6:09 am

I don't need your explanations,i've already understood what you were saying dude....no one have forced you to buy the game in english, and no one forces you to buy dawnguard
You want to play it ? Well, then you've to respect bethesda decision and live with it....

P.s. i prefer watchin' movies and playin' games in the original language,so i've buyed skyrim even for pc where i have total freedom of choice

Sorry, I see your point but I don't agree, mate.
My decision was made based on previous experience on Xbox Live: with the english UK version of any other games it's always been possible to download the english DLC.

What is happening with Skyrim, then, is unexpected and surprising.
It's not even coherent, since when patch 1.6 came out in english regions, i could download it immediately, weeks before it came out in Italy.
Why is the same not happening with the DLC, then?

It's a matter of decisions and consequences only if, when you make the decision, you're aware of the consequences.
If i had known this was gonna happen i would've considered buying the local version.

As much as I can respect Bethesda's decision, it feels quite unfair to me.
As a matter of fact, Bethesda's decision seems not to respect me and people like me.
We haven't done anything wrong, we're not talking about piracy here; we are legitimate owners of Skyrim, we paid for it like everybody else, and we should be entitled to have the same support.

As you said, no one forces me to buy Dawnguard; the problem is, i WANT to buy it, only I can't.

As you can imagine, It's disappointing.

P.S.: If I could choose to play Skyrim on PC, I would.

Waiting isn't a problem, but sometimes it's wise to asknow and again just to remind there are people waiting, or else the thread will go down and be overlooked.

This. The more we insist, the more action will Bethesda take on the issue.

I hope so. I don't think I'll buy DG until they tell us something certain. I'm tired to throw money at video games producers without any kind of guaranteee.

Nice clean up I see, well done.
So, will DLC be available today in Italy?
Any hope people with PAL UK version will be able to download it in english?
Really hope so...

Yes, should be out today in Italy. Currently I'm in office so I didn't check, but that's what they told us. And about the compatibility...no news !! :(

I checked now and it's in italian, as I thought.

So, now what can we do? Bethesda says nothing and we still have the same problem. And it's not a minor problem...

What we need to know is: is there any hope we can get the english version?
And if not, is the italian version gonna work with the PAL UK game?
It's about time someone let us know...

Yep it's out, but if you noticed the title says "Dawnguard (italiano)" so the fact that they specified the language makes me think that there's still hope...
For instance here in italy all the Call of Duty Black Ops DLCs came out in both italian language and in english so you could choose wich to download...

More investigations on the way...

Arrgh ...So no dawnguard for me. Even if the figs dlc initially works with the english version of skyrim (besides the language mix). there will still be an issue with patches. as the game will still load the english patches and not the ones for the figs version. (could lead to a problem).

Man, you should really stop to flame and bothering us for asking what we have the right to know. Being silent and grateful will never get you anywhere; if you have a problem you should fight to get it over with. Being silent resolves nothing. We're waiting for an answer, not crying like children that want the english version at all costs. If they tell us "no, you can't have it in english, sorry" we'll be fine, pissed off but fine, there are other ways to download Dawnguard in english.

Anyway what do you think you're doing licking Bethesda boots, you feel cool? The devs don't even read these forums.

He's not licking anybody's boots, he's flaming and he's gonna flame untill he manages to get this thread locked.
I'm afraid he's the one who's risking to give a bad reputation to italians by flaming and provoking people he doesn't agree with.

I am a great Bethesda fan, i love their work and I'll always be grateful for the hundreds of hours of fun i had with their titles, including Skyrim.
Asking a question isn't a crime and downloading a DLC is not an "opportunity": We paid for the game, we're gonna pay for the DLC (if we can).

Nobody is unrespectful, we're just asking if it's possible to enjoy this DLC or not, nobody would make any fuss if it wasn't for him...

Bethesda don't need you to come here and fight us, though; if and when thay have something to say they will do it themselves.
You're just flaming, You're the offensive one;
I've had enough and I'm gonna report your behaviour. Cheers.

Watch what you say and remain civil if you want to remain here. Yes devs and admin do read the forums.

OK guys, there may be problems but constantly arguing and repeating the same thing is not going to gain you anything - apart from irate moderators.
