Dawnguard available in English or just in english regions?

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 5:04 am

someone told me that maybe Bethesda will release the same English DLC with another free DLC for the language. Is this true?

Source of this info? because Gstaff have not said anything about this yet since yesterday.

And my topic was closed, i know, part of that was my fault (i just want to know when "ignorant" is a way to insult people, i just said the truth), so this is the one that remains so i'll keep this alive, and sane too ;)

Come on, let's just wait until the staff comes here with the news, this is probably take some time after all, as other people said before... unless http://www.gamesas.com/user/773635-giant-lizard/ gives us a source of this info.
I really hope this is true :D

I told you that wasn't a good idea :\

Sadly the source doesn't exist, I think someone has supposed that.

Since Fallout 3 this has been the case. I live in Austria and bought the UK edition cause I wanted it in my native language. I knew that when the DLC came, that I would have to buy it from the UK store. If you go into PSN and have a look at the Fallout 3/NV DLC, you will see that in the description box it says that the DLC is only compatible with BLES 01329 (this is my box code for Skyrim, the Fallout games have similar codes.

I always assumed this was because Bethesdas games are usually heavy in dialog, and because XBL has restrictions on DLC size. If this is the reason or not I don't know. But yeah, was fully aware I'd have to use my UK PSN account (which I made cause I import any games that don't have multi language support, like Fallouts and Skyrim).

That should not be a problem because the size is not different for english people... we just live on south america and other people lives outside USA and Canada, but we have the exact same game... it's ridiculous :(

Hi guys,

I have the same problem (I'm italian but I have a pal UK version of the game). I just wanted you to know that I wrote directly to Bethesda product support team and I'll post here their reply as soon as they (if they) answer me.

Apparently Brazilians speak Spanish in Bethesda's eyes.
Only Spanish, French, Italian and German speaking countries should have been blocked [because they have to translate the game]
The only copy sold in Brazil was the American one, no translations, no anything. So why the heck are we blocked?

They might end up releasing the spanish version here on Brazil, like they did with the dlc for Fallout New Vegas.

Be careful i said that "any english that thinks in Brasil they speak spanish are ignorants", and you know what happened with that thread, lots and lots of people attacking me... kind of funy :P

Anyway, now that i know there is no portuguese version of this game... why the hell you can't download it in english? you have more reason than us to reclaim about this, at least we have the spanish version... o wait, we haven't that either and for no reason

If we could get an answer about what language the "brazilian version" will be. Can someone from Bethesda Staff shed some light on this for us?

Yup, i know about this. Here i buyed the "Fallout new vegas: Ultimate edition", and the main game is in english, but some in-game texts are in spanish, i don't know why, and i thought this could be because of the extra content. Also. the box is actually in spanish and portuguese.

Well, as i said before, the change must start now.

So, that means Microsoft and Bethesda finally reacted to South America, really happy to hear that. I guess the numbers of costumers in these regions is just too high to be ignored, and three days after release, that's also not too bad.
Nothing new from Switzerland, but I'm really just waiting for when the european releases come out, so the region block of Germany, France and Italy doesn't affect my country anymore, then I can try to download the DLC with my international release edition.
Really, the fact that this is an international release edition and not an imported version of the US or UK is pretty much my only hope, except maybe the DLCs for europe being dual language or some kind of mini-patch, Fingers crossed.
I mean, why would you even release an international version if you can't figure out how to make it work on the market place? The only people that buy these versions anyway are collectors who want to make 100% sure that their product isn't affected by censorship, or countries that don't have have an own version (Sweden and the Netherlands for example). I didn't even order it outside the country, I bought it at a local store.
