Dawnguard available in English or just in english regions?

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 2:06 pm

That would not be a problem if i were playing the spanish version, ok, i understands, the non english versions will take some more time... but here in Chile there was no spanish version of Skyrim to buy, only english version... ridiculous... just can't get this :(

THIS!! same in Colombia

Hi,

it would be great to have a clear statement from bethesda on this point.
At least if we can't get dawnguard before 10th july, we'd like to know if the DLC will be in the version we bought (english) or the language of the xbox account (and if it will work at all).

Honestly i find this pityful, i had no problem like this with mass effect 3 which i also bought in english, played with my french account and all DLCs are in english.

-regards

I'm almost certain that we won't get an english version, unless we wait for a disc release or the localised version is actually dual (my only hope) because I don't think there are any other instances of the same DLC available in different languages in the Xbox market and that's because Microsoft wants to keep it simple and knows that many people would just get confused if they are presented with too many options.

I've made my mind up, I won't get the DLC if it's only in spanish, even if I had been looking forward to playing it since it was revealed, translations are so poor that it's simply not worth it.

Then Bethesda commited a fraud with us because they made us to buy the game in english but "hey, if you want the dlc you have to pay for the main game AGAIN" :(
Pathetic, insulting and criminal :(

Actually, my point is that not all the blame is to fall on Bethesda but the Xbox Live system also have its fair share of the fault.

But Bethesda deals with them, there is no change to me, it's like:

Bethesda: "We have this dlc to offer to everybody"
Micro$oft: Ok... but not english version for non us accounts
Bethesda: Uh... ok :ermm:

And my face: :(

Yeah, reading all these posts opened my eyes, I didn't really understand how stern the region lock is on xBox Live. I buy a lot of DVDs and I'm aware of it there, but this just caught me off-guard. Looking at how this scenario usually ends with other games, I guess our chances are slim. I just regret now that I wasn't aware of this before, so I wouldn't have wasted my money on a game that won't be able to properly install upcoming DLCs and microsoft points that I don't really need now.
Seriously, realizing this now, I kind of had it coming, should have gone with the PC edition.

So we don't have dawnguard because bethesda doesn't want to approve the licence of use https://twitter.com/XboxColombia/status/217739891717570562 (this is in spanish)

P.S: it's coming the english version DLC

You can't say the Italian version svcks just because you don't understand it. I feel offended.

Personally I like both the English version and the Italian one, but I prefer mine because it makes me feel more comfortable when I play.

Just throwing my name with you guys, same problem over here. we south americans aren't in luck it seems.
Let's just keep this thread on the front page so we can get some sort of official answer, if only just to say "f*** this" and go play some mass effect...

That's not true. I have a French account and bought the UK version of ME3, the prothean DLC I downloaded is in English whereas people who bought the French version have the DLC in French.
So I don't see why it's not possible if bioware did it.

These "gringos" think it's all about them. I know this is a problem from Bethesda because only happened this to me with this game. Damn ignorants, if they have luck and can play dawnguard, why aren't they playing it instead of making us waste more time with their pointless comments like this? :stare:

I never said that I don't understand italian. I'm italian :D I only said that I prefer the original language, in every work.
