Dawnguard available in English or just in english regions?

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 11:56 am

Same problem here
I'm from Venezuela, but my account is from Colombia, and there is only the Dawnguard link, but no DLC

P.S: i'm using the english version

Here is the link: http://marketplace.xbox.com/es-CO/Product/dawnguard/8ab49c69-b2d8-4055-99c8-a941655f5de8 it has the description and stuff but there's no DLC :c

If it works at all, that is.
Seriously, this is the last straw of hope I have. I can't even imagine how a german DLC should work on an english copy, if even possible. Maybe, in roughly two weeks, when the region lock gets removed, xBox Live will be somehow able to recognize the copy as an english one, and just automatically arrange the right language (ignoring the whole FIGS arrangement), something completely in the realm of possibilities and what I would expect from a company that treats its customers the way it's supposed too.
But anyway, what's up with all the south Americans not being able to download this? Is Microsoft putting all spanish speaking people into one huge Spain group, like how Austria and Switzerland belong to Germany? If that's the case then...that's pretty stupid.

No no, they speak only portuguese. If one of your brasilian friends speaks also spanish, it's good for him, but the first language is portuguese (well, brasilian portuguese, it's a little different) :D

Anyway, is there a way to contact Bethesda staff?

of course it works, but you lost your old gamertag with all Gamerpoints and achievements. And I'm not sure if you can use the old saving game, because probably it's connected to the other account.

Anyway, this is not a real solution. I want to play the game with my own account.

It is region locked. Bethesda released an official statement that flat out said that Spain, Italy, Germany and France will have to wait. Like Lizard said, I could make an US account, but what's the point? I would have to buy new points again, effectively wasting the microsoft points I paid 30 bucks for and just in general do everything again, like achievements, adding all your friends, somehow getting all your saves onto the new account etc,
It's all a huge hassle for something that shouldn't have happened in the beginning.

I already know that, but the problem is that almost surely the DLC for other countries will not be in english, but only in the country's language. Here's what I fear.

That would not be a problem if i were playing the spanish version, ok, i understands, the non english versions will take some more time... but here in Chile there was no spanish version of Skyrim to buy, only english version... ridiculous... just can't get this :(
