Dawnguard = Knights of the Nine

There, I said it. I was hoping for The Shivering Isles and got KotN. Flame me all you want, but that is how I feel. It is a pretty cool DLC, don't get me wrong, but I want a big new area to explore. Do you think we'll get one in the future?

We might get a large new area in the next DLC. Another province maybe?......
Edit: Or parts of other provinces.

Yeah I respect your opinion, I think we might have a lot of add ons for Skyrim, Even a few tinier ones and a few like Dawnguard and a few like Shivering isles, Maybe some other plugins like a weapon and spell overhaul and stuff, The Add On Menu has a [censored] load of room left...

Seeing as it's basically a questline that adds a few new locations (just like KotN), I think that sounds like a valid opinion.

In quite a few interviews prior to the release, Todd and other devs mentioned that Dawnguard was not going to be as big as Shivering Isles.

Point Lookout was mentioned as a reference in terms of the size and amount of content.

In fact, I think he said all their DLCs werent going to be as big as Shivering Isles

How, that would more than double the size of the game, and I dont think a console could take it...... Look at a world map, Skyrim is equal to or smaller than nearly all the provinces.

Parts of other provinces would work wouldn't it?

Yes, I recall Todd saying something along the lines that Dawnguard will be smaller than Shivering Isles, and the future DLC will likely be smaller than Dawnguard, with a lower retail price.

I fully agree, the dawnguard are like KOTN, hence why I joined the vampires also because I always wanted to be the head of a vampire clan.

I think a console could handle it, also I never heard of this "future dlcs will be smaller" nor can I find an actual article stating this, only ones I can find that are like that are talking about Dawnguard.

In the http://www.joystiq.com/2012/06/06/bethesdas-todd-howard-on-dawnguard-the-future-of-skyrim-and-s/, Todd mentions the DLC wont all be at this $20 price point. Hopefully there will be at least one more big one like this, however, which would be fantastic.

You mean to say, you think they might release some DLC in the future that costs more than $20?

I'd pay for it if it was worth it. How much was Knights of the Nine anyway?

He also mentioned, more than once, that we'll be able to customize our home in either Fort Dawnguard or Castle Volkihar. "Trick out," I believe, were his words.

In that respect, I am disappoint.

Knights was apparently 800 while Dawnguard is 1600, so twice the price for the same amount of content.

I never finished the KOTN quest, but were there two joinable faction questlines, side quests and/or new features that enhanced the rest of the game like crossbows, mounted combat, werewolf and vampire lord perk trees, etc.? These kinds of features require a lot of dev time, it wasn't just using existing kits to make new dungeon levels, etc.

Yeah, I noticed that when I was watching that interview. The plan is a total of 4 DLCs, correct(or is it 5? Can't remember)? I'd imagine the next couple of DLCs are going to be smaller ones, probably $10 price point or some such, then one as big or bigger than DG to finish it off(*irrationally crosses fingers for a Blacklight DLC*).

One faction, side quests, new items, creatures, and etc. So Dawnguard may of had a little more content, but is that worthy of being twice the price?

Precisely. Same with Point Lookout that they like to keep bringing up.

I would like to see a dlc that sheds some light on the disappearance of the Dwemer. Even better a quest chain dedicated too it TES 6, We have been diving into the Dwemer runs in just about every TES game with no real clue as to why they vanished...think its time for some answers.

Dawnguard didn't have you rebuilding an knightly order of misfits collecting artifacts that once belonged to a Elf Hating Time Traveling Terminator Knight.

But in terms on content I can see how you make that assumption. Added new area's to the base game, rather than a new one, etc.
