DLC Suggestions #4

Post » Tue May 10, 2011 1:31 pm

God yes, didn't think about that. :D
Imagine meeting someone in Combat Armor MK II wielding an AMR with AP bullets... Too awesome and finally a real challenge.

----------------------------------------------------

New weapons I'd like:
  • A big ass weapon with STR req 7 which shoots a powerful laser beam. It's accurate, high DAM, but it's reloading speed is slow and it has a terrible ammo consumption to balance it out.

Tesla Cannon + Unique already in the game.

I would like some quests revolving around finding the base of communist insurgent and the reward is things like a chinese pistol, chinese assault rifle and a riot shield.

The ability to spray paint your armor for a sneak bonus.
And i would like silencers for the assault carbine and marksman carbine.

Fair enough, but wouldn't it just fill the same niche as the Tesla Cannon, or would it have any other distinguishing features?

Nah it's not like it really.
This Laser Cannon would be able to shoot off 4 shots, each requiring 7 MFC ammo (That's 21MFC if converted to Max Charge), it's damage wouldn't be on par with the Tesla Cannon but would certainly be high enough to be useful.
And the Tesla Cannon has a small AOE effect as well which this one would not have.

You mean besides the shock value that your enemy is shooting A GIANT [censored] LASER at you?

I thought The Divide was to the east.
And no, Enclave are pretty much done for in the west coast, do Arcade's questline and you'll figure out why.

Don't know. The wreckage mentions the Courier, but it also mentions places North of the map and West of the map, and doesn't specify where "home" is for the Courier. Plus we know the Courier was in Montana seventeen years ago, but not where he came from recently.

have level cap increased but smaller amount of skill points awarded and perks every 3 levels once you reach level 30. A cap of 40 would be good with some stronger enemies added, but a good reason for these tougher enemies.

Story-wise, id like to see the courier starting up a western faction of regulators, with his skills determining how theyd be outfitted and equipped. For example, if youre a cowboy type you can recruit some gunslingers, etc. it should add a new companion as well along with weapons, etc. Evil players should have their own faction as well, such as a new group of slavers that moves in

My DLC wish list

1. Expanded Radio - Be it more music, new station, more DJ pvssyr, a Mr. New Vegas quest would be swinging baby.

2. Open up the rest of the map.

3. Make the Legion presences bigger the NPC's all talked about how many soldiers Caesar had but I didn't run into :gun: many at all till I got into the camp.

4. Some kind of Poseidon energy quest line with a cool reward gun.

5. Area 51

6. The Grand Canyon - Since it's east of Vegas it'd be great as a Legion strong hold.

7. A scrap-man/girl perk - so you can make scrap from tin cans, coffee pots, spoons, bonesaw, etc.

8. More quests for Marcus.

9. A quest line to re-open a casino of your very own.

10. Throw in some Enclave cause it's fun to :flamethrower: them.

2. Yes please.

3. It's cause we're on the west side of the river.

4. No.

5. God no!

6. I dunno really, only if they don't try to minimize Grand Canyon. (Not meaning that we can wander around the entire grand canyon but if we get to see it from topside then I want it to be huge as clucking hell.

7. Eh?

8. Why?

9. Primm's casino would work.

10. Nope, the Enclave are pretty wiped out on the west coast.

My idea seems like more of a Mod than a DLC

-----------------------------------Weapons-------------------------

- Name - Poseidon Cannon
- Unique - Recharger Pistol
- Ammo - Solar Breeder, Max 5 shots
- Damage - 50
- Look - Looks like a larger and darker recharger pistol, and instead of the yellow lights on it there are mini solar panels instead. Fires large blue beams akin to the archimedes laser
- Other - It retains it's charge after switching it out, unlike the regular recharger pistol and is stronger, though it can only be charged outdoors and during the daytime. It charges one shot a second.

- Name - Poseidon's Trident
- Unique - Recharger Rifle
- Ammo - Solar Breeder, Max 9 shots
- Damage - 40x3
- Looks - Looks like a larger and darker recharger rifle, and instead of yellow lights fires 3 blue beams at once. The beams look similar to a archimedes ray.
- Other - It retains its charge after switching it out, unlike the regular recharger rifle. Charges its energy at the same rate as the rifle, but you need at least 3 to fire

----------------------------Enemy---------------------------

- Name - Tesla Bot
- Look - A blue-tinted sentry bot with two large tubes on its back containing electricity like in a Tesla Cannon. it has the little things on it's shoulders like tesla armor too, creating electic surges around its body.
- DT - High, +5 against energy weapons
- Size - like a normal sentry bot
- Damage - High
- Attacks - Slightly weaker version of the Tesla Cannon, Minigun
- Other - After firing its tesla cannon, it loses its protection from energy weps for a few seconds.

- Name - Poseidon Turret

- Look - like an energy turret you can find normally, but with solar panels on it's top and it is double sided, a large side (solar beam) and a smaller side (laser beam)

- Damage - Solar Beam: 50, Laser Beam: 20

- DT - 25

- Other - These are only stationed outdoors. During the daytime, they use their solar beams, though they fire pretty slowly. During Nighttime they switch to Lasers, which are weaker but fire faster.

- Info - They solar beams isn't sun energy turned directly into the attack, but is a special laser only useable with the excess energy the sun gives to the machine

---------------------------Quest---------------------------

- Name - not sure

- Giver - A computer in Helios 1

- Rewards - Poseidon Trident and Cannon (check my weapon topic), second chance to arm the Archimedes 2 orbital laser, and a C-Finder

- Events -

After choosing what to do with the energy in Helios One, you find a secret note on the computer gives you the whereabouts of another Poseidon Energy Research Facility. The entrance is explained to be in crescent canyon. A password is given to you and the entrance's location.

You go to the entrance, which is hidden behind a door disguised as a rock wall. you enter through the rock wall to a hallway that has a closed door at the end. You use the password to get through the door and it leads into a longer hallway that slowly ascends. At the end of the corridor is an elevator going up.

You go up the elevator and find yourself in outdoors, and slightly away is a building, but more like a fortress. There are many solar panels around the building. There is an outer wall and you can see Poseidon Turrets stationed on them. You make your way to the entrance, destroying the turrets as you go along.

You enter the building, and are immediately attacked by a Tesla Bot. After killing it, you can go through more of the building, killing other robotics defenses along the way. You make your way to the control room, and once there you can open the doors to the weapon development room where the Poseidon Trident and Cannon are located, and the next option is much bigger:

- You can tell one faction about the Poseidon energy base, ranging from the
-Brotherhood of Steel- They move members to the base and occupy it
-NCR- They do the same as the NCR, and use it to power their things
-Legion- I'm not sure what they would do with it really...
-Followers of the Apocalypse- they will use it to give power to the places they think need it the most

- Alternatively, you can forget the factions and make the base an energy source for the Archimedes 2 laser You will receive a C-Finder right then. If you had already made Helios 1 a power source for the laser, it adds a second charge everyday.

2 an 3 kinda go together I guess open it up so I can go get me some Legion kills

4. More guns = more fun but I am not talking about a overpowered gun just something that looks cool and is an energy type of gun

5. A lot of people automatically assume is has to refer to aliens but I would just like to explore a top secret government facility if it has hints of alien references thats ok not a place filled with the little guys. I would prefer it to be inhabited by ghouls both kinds maybe some non-ferals could be old pre-war scientists looking for a feral cure

8. As for Marcus I think a lot of peeps expected more interaction with him due to old Fallout and what better way than working for him or better yet with him.

10. Yea I did play the old Fallout's when they came out but .......forgive me I don't know exactly how much time has passed since FO2 but I believe it has been long enough for them to have some kind of presence. Hey they were/are big all over the US not only that I think they make a good faction to have in the FO world regardless.

I'm sure none of this will be used though :nope:
What do you care it's my wish list anyway, no matter how flawed you think it is

I am happy that New Vegas has howitzers but I am still hoping that In a DLC there will be a bunker or base with http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Sentry_bot_(Fallout_2). Maybe a quest to get it working again. Other Fallout 2 style robots would be great to see.

4. With a cool gun == Overpowered weapon. (Didn't we learn the lesson with FO3's DLC's?)

5. I love aliens and want tons of more of them, what I absolutely hate about a A51 DLC is that it would be O:A struggling to be rpg-heavy but falling short due to the linearity.

8. Nah he's done for, if all he wanted to say is what he said then there's no point in talking to him again. Would be nice to find Sulik in all his glory though. Maybe he could have something more satisfying to tell about the events in FO2. I know he'd be like... Really old... But hey, maybe he gains a longer life from having his tribe mates souls in him. :P

10. They were big in the US, now they're fractured on two coasts. We saw the remnants in New Vegas, that's all there is to them there. We can't keep playing this back and forth game with Enclave all the time. Their glory days are over. Same for BOS, both of them are dying breeds. (I do not count Lyons or Mid-western BOS as part of the original BOS)

Sulik's sister Kurisu! :D

I would also like more 50.cal weapons, please at least one 50.cal machinegun M2 browning. Would be great to see it defending some old military base. Also at least one Original Gauss Weapon with ammo boxes full of 2mm ammo and the ability to make ammo for it out of scrap metal.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Drunken_Master would be a great perk :toughninja:

If they plan on adding something like a companion in future DLCs, I'd like to see an articulate super mutant with a truly unique appearance, unlike Neil who was mostly just a retexture of standard mutants. The Marcus companion mod I have does fill the gap pretty well, but I would prefer to get official content with quests and a fresh character.

I had an idea for an Area 51 DLC

Area 51 is a large underground base rumored to have technology the likes of which no-one has ever seen before.

There are a few factions that want the technology there and can contact you: the NCR, the BoS, Mr. House, You/Yes Man, and a new evil faction that has heard of your exploits with the Legion. (i dont think the legion likes tech)

The base is surrounded by these factions, each having their own small base, and they are all trying to get inside the base before the others can. (They have to fight the base's robot defenses and the other factions)

- This is how the events go -

1. You talk to the group of your choice to learn about the situation and tell them you wish to help them.

2. You do some missions to help them be the first to enter the base, these would involve fighting the other groups closest to them and fighting the base's outer defenses on your way in.

3. Once in, the faction you helped guards the entrance to the underground base and you begin the process of clearing out the area of it's defenses. You can bring some soldiers from the factions with you, more if you have no companions already. In the lower levels of the base there are signs that things went awry, and you fight some strange creatures (aliens, abominations, new things).

4. after clearing the entire area out, the group completely occupies the base and equip themselves with technology from the base (you get some too, don't worry)

5. After that you are tasked with the destruction of the other faction's bases. After destroying or scaring away the other factions (if you wanna be nice), an alien ship appears above the base and starts fighting the members of the faction you asissted. Aliens come down and everything.

6. You get a radio distress signal from the faction's leader, and you have to fight your way back into the base (either straightforward or more sneaky)

7. Once you get back in and talk to the leader, they tell you of a super weapon found in the base that could drive off the invaders. It is located under one of the nearby hangars and they are working at now at bringing it up, and you have to go their to defend it. You go through the underground base to the weapon's room, and see that it is a huge Death Ray, similar to the one from Mothership Zeta, but made from a combination of Human and Alien tech.

8. You go up a quick elevator to where it will be deployed, as stated a large hangar area. You have to fight with the faction members to defend the hangar for a few minutes, after which the weapon is ready, raised, and fired at the alien ship in a cutscene.

9. The ship crashes down nearby, and the final quest is to clear it out along with the rest of the base.

10. Rewards for the quest: You get a room in the base, and every in-game week you can get a bunch of tech in a special container. You can buy tech from the faction you supported's vendors in the regular wasteland and at the base. Members of the faction in the regular wasteland start using the tech from the base, so BoS & NCR guys would use alien weapons, and the Securitrons would be equipped with new weapons as well. Various other things too that i can;t think of
