Dragon Age 2...awesome.

Although, why bring it onto handhelds?

Oh wow! Super hot grafix!!! Just what all RPGers place as priority No 1.
Luckily for Bioware I still love them. :P

Well, I finally finished it after 56 hours gameplay. Great story, and the boss fights were fun.

I tried making a new character but after a few hours I don't think I can make it again. It's just too linear for me. Also the annoying glitch where you have to wait for corpses to become lootable really became a drag. I lost count of the times I was just about to loot something but oh no! An enemy has appeared at the edge of the map causing my character to be incapable of looting until the battle is over! Grr. And it's not as if the loot was ever anything interesting.

I loaded up Oblivion and it was like breathing fresh air :) I could actually go where I wanted whenever I felt like it.

Note, it said a Dragon Age title. Not Dragon Age 2. So this could very well be another expansion or another game in the franchise. Just putting that out there so you guys don't get too excited then you have to pop that excitement. :P

So I'm getting urges to drop my dwarf rouge for a mage because I'm always finding myself micromanaging my mage in combat. I'd like to be able to play my character most of the time.

sugar
wheat flour
fillet knife
ginger (for grandpa's flatulence)
ink
cod liver oil
dried mushrooms
rouge (Orlesian)

Also remember to ask if more beeswax will be available soon.

Well that's pretty cool. But they said they're going to focus a lot more on the graphics, which in a way is good, but I didn't think the graphics were that bad in the original. I'm mean, sure, they're not amazing, but they weren't bad enough to distract from the experience or anything IMO.

Seriously. I think the graphics were just damn fine.

Then again, I'm just pissed because I'm gonna have to upgrade my system here soon for these new games. >_<

About the city elves:
Spoiler
For some reason I just thought of the moment when (not playing as an elf) you find Vaughan in the dungeon cell. I like how when you say "No one will miss you" and kill him, your party says nothing. Has anyone had a reaction from the NPCs when you gut that worthless excuse for a noble?

As for graphics, I played "The Witcher" again last night for the first time in a month and was amazed by the graphics again -- the water effects especially. But Dragon Age's graphics are good enough -- there are some subtle touches like the wavering in the air caused by flames.

Agreed. People always complain how gameplay should come before graphics, and now this is finally more or less the case, people start complaining about the graphics?

He won't say anything though. Approval goes down by 4, and Morrigan's goes up by 2.

You mean, make their products appear outdated in comparison with games that came out earlier? (DA vs. FO3)

Anyway, looking at "The Children," is anyone else reminded of the http://doom.wikia.com/wiki/Cherub from Doom 3?

It does require a certain amount of literacy and discovery.

That is pretty un-modern of them...actually challenging the player to think and whatnot... :o

To be fair, DA: O's graphics are a bit dated, but that's really the only thing.
