Game no longer recognizes my magic resistance after patch

My resistance is also gone. Don't care though. It makes it harder, but no big deal, I have 80 absorb anyway so it doesn't affect my character that badly.

It's a clear mistake which Bethesda will obviously address in the near future

I don't know if the magic resistance is completely gone or not but I did instantly killed by an ice storm soul gem trap couples of time and killed by ancient dragon in just 3 seconds with 400 health and 50% ice resist

I play as a Nord, and pre-patch I could fight necromancers and mages with ease. Sure, it was a bit more challenging when they were casting from distance, but I could always run up and kill them in near combat. Today, 2 hours ago, I went into the Southfringe Sanctum... Wow. I got past the Spellswords pretty easy, but the necromancers and other various enemies with fire/frost spells kicked the [censored] out of me time after time. I lowered the difficulty but I still go down after 2-3 attacks.

Please fix this!

Wow, I've been away from my computer for a few days and was looking forward to downloading the patch for the lag fix. This is really disappointing, a patch that not really fixed the lag but also messes up resistances. Looks like I won't be downloading the patch, at least not until I've got my platinum. I'd rather deal with the lag than all the messed up resistances.

Yup. This is ridiculous. At level 39 I'm now getting one-shotted by dragon breath that used to not even touch me and 2-3 shotted by measly necromancers shooting ice spears. Utterly ridiculous.

Bumping this thread for massive awareness.

Bethesda needs to know that this issue strikes at the core of the gameplay
for many character builds and a framerate/dragon animation fix alone will not
be enough for mages, elemental enemies, or anyone who values resistance
whatsoever in this game.
i agree, i won't play the game until its fixed and thats too bad cause i was really enjoying it.

Can't even play the game in the current state, God I wish I hadn't blindly updated my game. I've never been more disappointed in a game company as I am right now. I wasn't even having many problems before this patch. I thought patches on consoles had to be certified meaning they'd actually be tested. At least on PC I'd be able to revert back to 1.1 patch. This is rediculous.

honestly in my game i cant tell WTF is happening i can take my Dunmer with 350 health and 75% totally fire resistence and he can walk through fire all boss like yet i did shrine of Azura and had to hide like a little girl not only that but my flame astronuch was being wiped out from a single fireball hurled at me and my frost astro simply walked up and i was able to spawn 2 and use them as walking shields (that were being hit by these seemingly super fireballs) and they didnt die

since then anything can just about kill me me but at the same time fireball and chain lighting just about kill everything when duel cast
