Yes, there are three. They all appear in different anthologies right now, so it will be nice when they're compiled. The Warriors anthology is pretty good apart from GRRM's story, though. The 4th one is supposed to be set in Winterfell.

ADWD spoiler...

Spoiler
Bran gets a vision of a tall man kissing a woman in the weirwood in Winterfell. Lots of people think it's Dunk and Old Nan. *hummida hummida*
More like Young Nan.

Then who is fit for the Iron Throne? Obviously not the Lannisters. Stannis is different than Ned in that he will do whatever it takes it to get what he wants. Plus, if it's the rule that he should have the throne after the king dies, then it his by rights. He's not an evil bastard either.
Which book are you on? After a while you're going to realise that the Lannisters aren't all the horrid people that you think they are in the first few books. It's really just Cersei, Joffrey, and Tywin that make everyone hate their family.
Spoiler
And it looks like we've taken care of that issue, what with Joffrey and Tywin dead and Cersei all humble after her walk of shame.
I am not a fan of the Lannisters on the Throne either, but I don't think Stannis would make a very good king because he doesn't want it.

I suspect Cersei is upto something. And after Kevan's death she might become a schizophrenic. Ahh! Poor Cersei.

I wonder if Young Griff is the real Aegon the VI? If he is, he just a much better chance of sitting the throne than Stannis.

I don't think that particular episode changed anything about her. She's acting like it did, but all her thoughts (especially after Kevan) still have her as scheming and powerhungry.

Finished the first book and currently watching the first season. I'm in two minds whether to read the second book or just watch the second series, i think they are both as good as each other...

The only thing i'm dissapointed with is in season 1 they've minimized the presence of the wolves, i was looking forward to seeing Ghost alot but he's barely ever seen, i guess it's hard to put an oversized wolf on screen...

Finished all the books and anxiously awaiting the Season 2 premiere of Game of Thrones?

For kicks, GRRM has posted http://grrm.livejournal.com/140797.html of how a no-hold-barred battle between Cthulu and Jaime Lannister might play out, with Tyrion serving as coach.

I just started Storm of Swords. I'm only 3 chapters in but I liked Jaime's first chapter. I'm looking forward to Samwell's chapters as well. Don't get me started on Chett, what a fool.

Spoiler
I don't know...by the time she got to the Red Keep, she was ready to do anything to end the humiliation. I don't think anyone could come out of that situation and still have the drive to scheme and plot.

I hate Young Griff/Aegon. hate hate hate

Is the first season of Game of Thrones the entire first book in the series? Is the second season the start of the second book?

Finished DWD on the train yesterday. Wanted to have a little cry when it was all over, it's been such an awesome literary journey. Can't wait until the final instalment.

Spoiler
I loved the final dialogue between Varys and Kevan. The comparison between Aegon and Tommen is really powerful.

Yes the first season is all of the first book. The second season will begin where the second book began.

But the third season might be split into two seasons, I hope it is. A Storm of Swords is 1,200 pages long so GRRM is trying to get HBO to make it two seasons.

Yea it was pretty good. They did a superb job on casting the characters. Especially Davos. They showed Arya's part at the very end, and it made me want to see the 2nd episode ASAP

Although he wasn't in this episode,
Spoiler
I think it's kind of funny how they've been publicizing Renly so much.
Shame they combined the burning of the Seven and the prologue though. CoK is the second best prologue imo (second to SoS's) and I would have loved to see it drawn out a little more.

Coming from someone who still hasn't read the 2nd book ... that wasn't bad. Didn't move me emotionally in any way (just like most of Season1) but held my attention. Cast & production is still top notch.

Yea they've been blowing Renly up like crazy. I think it's because he attracts a lot of viewers because he's attractive.
Spoiler
To bad he dies.

But I thought the prologue would've been great in for the 2nd season. They did a great job of integrating the prologue into the beginning of the episode though.

I actually really like Stannis in this. I wasn't sure if the voice or face would match my expectations, but he seems like a stern badass. Him, Davos and Mel are very welcome additions to the show.

Robb is a total badass. Awesome. I'm so glad to have the show back, It reminds me that I started watching the show first, before the books and all that.

It helps that I genuinely can't remember what's going on, really. I know what happens, but it's been over half a year since reading CoK, I don't remember many of the main details. I tried a re-read, but after two days I wasn't even caught up to the end of the first episode here. Didn't really feel like re-reading it.

I'm sickened by the amount the hate Martin gets from whiny arrogant bastards. They say they can't wait for the next book, yet they complain on how he wrote the last 5 books. Man if I could line them all up and register their names in a database, they'd never get their hands on one of his books again.

What is wrong with some people? He will write the series on his own time.

There are forums dedicated to complaining about his work. Wow.

LOVED: Mellisandre, Davos, Stannis and Craster. They were all very much like I pictured (though Craster could have stood to be a bit greasier, imo).

HATED: Ros. Seriously, why is this non-book-character given screen-time here when there's barely enough time to give the actual important characters? So stupid.

Didn't quite love Emelia's acting with the CGI dragon. Didn't look right. Not quite sure about the direwolf either. Hmmm. All in all I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10.
