29. On the internet, all girls are men, and all kids are undercover FBI agents .
30. There are NO girls on the internet.

Hey guys, I'm not trying to impress you or anything, but I'm a boy, and I play games. I love how you can play as a boy in Skyrim, it really allows me to express myself as a boy. I mean, it should be common knowledge by now, boys play games!

I'm a girl, I'm more of a gamer

You're more of a pastime than a gender? Nice one, love.

I thought this was a knitting forum and that Skyrim is a type of hat. I'm still trying to find the pattern.

My wife has been a gamer all her life and has been on Xbox Live for 9 years now. She's 38 now and plays about 2-4 hours a day when she can, sometimes more on a day off, but she works like 50 hours a week. She also plays Skyrim a lot. I think she's nearly lvl 50 and really loves the game as she did Oblivion (which I did not). She has played in pro events for MLG with the PMS girls during the Rainbow days. Today she still enjoys playing FPS's but would rather play games like Skyrim ~ less stress.

Through the years we've enjoyed many games and go back as far as the Atari in the early 80's. When I met her 10 years ago she was still playing SNES and I turned her on to the Xbox.
A funny story recently when we went to the midnight launch of MW3 they had a widescreen and xbox set up in the back of a trailer for the local National Gaurd unit to play against the public for prizes at Gamestop. She easily beat kids half her age in 2 free for all matches.

Me and my ex used to play Battlefield Bad Co 1 and 1943 together ALLLLL The time. BC2 for a while too but then her xbox stopped reading discs...

wasn't too much longer after that we broke up.... guess gaming was all we had lmao

I actually converted her into a gamer... she barely played anything before me... just mario & mario kart growing up...

I turned her into 1 of the most lethal BF players on 360

And now I'm back to lone-wolfing..... FML

I can somewhat play games. Well, RPGs. I play RPGs well. I also RTS and TBS well. FPS is kind of beyond me.

I'm a cat who plays games. We feline gamers rarely get the recognition we deserve. You humans think you're the only ones allowed to have fun? I'm thankful that the Elder Scrolls series allows us to play a civilized being rather than a hairless ape.

Granted, 7 hours in one sitting is a bit of a stretch. I need to break every half-hour or so for a nap.

And when I tell humans on the internet that I'm a cat, they never believe me. They think I'm a human pretending to be a cat for attention. "Cats can't type," they say. "Cats are too stupid." Speciesist scum!

http://icanhascheezburger.com/2007/05/15/cat-like-typing-detected/

Strange. I have no problem believing cats play games and roam the interwebs.....

It's actually a little known fact that consoles were a direct consequence of feminism. Consoles could be placed far more easily in the kitchen than PCs - but, alas, in order to keep little women brains from overload it also led to to all these inferior "consolised" games. Hence, feminism has killed gaming, and also resulted in lower quality sammiches to boot; as the whole "women multitasking" thing is actually a myth.

Didn't Dragon Age have a really huge Female Fanbase?

Maybe it's just me but I swear I heard somewhere that it had almost as many, if not more girls (actively) playing it than it had guys.

'Tis true. Head over to Bioware Social and drop dead ( :hubbahubba:) when you see all the threads about "ALISTAIR MY KING <3 <3" Or "FENRIS LUV ME! <3". Mass Effect is worse.

This is clearly a troll thread, everyone knows girls don't play games.

Duh. They'd get all their cooties on the controller. Erryone knos.

I have to admit, Alistair really did it for me. They managed to capture boyish charm with a strong man underneath. He's one of my favorite characters from any game in a long time. I didn't find anyone in DAII very appealing, though.

I mean, I'm pretty sure this is how I would have felt, if I wasn't a cat.

Almost every RPG lets you choose male or female. There are exponentially more guys that play video games than girls, and more male designers and developers than females-- so naturally more linear story driven games will feature a male lead.

im not sure where it is at right now but when i was in the 9th grade the demographics between gender and gamers leaned slightly more towards females.

This was fantastic. \v\ can really put out sometimes.

Usually I try to find something to discuss when I comment like this but the OP never really posed a question or anything else that would merit a discussion.
