Its my favorite too. From what i can tell on the forum you really don't want to be apart of the "GTA IV was too scary 4 me" crowd.

Oh there will probably be one, just up to a year away most likely further. I'm not waiting that long when it will probably just be a POS anyways. I've had my PS3 just sitting here waiting to play something.

No love for Trevor on here it seems. Trevor is definitely going to be my type of character. Nothing like playing a crazy psychopath that likes running around in his underwear while crashing cars into trains.

So far GTA V is looking great, and surely won't end up like GTA IV (which is also my least favorite GTA game). What I am also interested in is the multiplayer. I was extremely addicted to RDR multiplayer (I still play it today on occasion) so I hope GTA V will be able to top it, and perhaps add more activities to do while roaming around Los Santos with friends online. That was one thing about RDR, it lacked activities to actually do while in a free roam session (although DLC did add gambling, horse races, Undead Overrun, and a couple more additions) I am hoping Rockstar really goes in-depth with the multiplayer.

No there was some love for him, though I think overall by a slight margin the forums seem to like Micheal more. I also prefer Trevor. Franklin is the one no one here or anywhere likes. I know some people might use that as a justification for "racism", but he is just such a boring character. I think he hits too close to what was happening in GTA SA. So far of these three he seems the most bland and covered by all sorts of media. It is also for me the most humorless character, and I think he doesn't fit the tone the other two give off. Which might be their intention. Who knows until I see him in play though. This is just from trailers.

Franklins trailer made me like him a whole lot more. Up until now he seemed to be pretty boring, but that new trailer seem like more gangster, which is what I was hoping for.

I also loved the songs used in the trailer and I hope they make their way onto the in game radio. There were VERY FEW songs I like in GTA IV, I hope is V is better in that regard.

EDIT: I just realised my favourite song from IV, "No six for Ben", was released exclusively for the game. :o

This is basically the only reason I got SA and IV on PC, so I could put custom music into the game.

Trevor's my man. It's great to finally have a GTA protagonist who's a completely violent loon. I don't mind a character with personality, but for too long we've been dealing with guys who are meant to be sympathetic in the story, but can be played as complete psychopaths. Whenever I feel the need to start setting the world on fire, I know who I can turn to now.

Oh my. That Trevor trailer. XD Haven't enjoyed GTA all that much since Vice City, but this looks epic. Here's a hoping for a PC port that's properly optimized and the loss of GFWL.

A little off topic, but I just found out that I have Episodes from Liberty City (Lost and the Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony). Were these any good?

This gen Rockstar seemed more focused on consoles. Poor IV port at first, no Red Dead Redemption at all, and still years later, silent on a PC version for V.

Trevor is the favorite over at GTAF. I can't wait to play all 3. Best of all worlds. Being able to switch protagonists on the fly is going to be so much fun and the chaos and mayhem we'll be able to create doing this should be interesting. Although, we'll probably be locked into a character while being wanted.

Yes, both of those are good and worth playing, especially TBoGT.

I played with the radio off 99% of the time in GTA IV. There some are songs I liked, such as Highway Star, Run to the Hills, Dead Embryonic Cells, but those were all in TLaD. From the base game, there was Strange Times, but it rarely played in my game. GTA IV's radio was certainly disappointing compared to Vice City (which had V-Rock) and SA (which had K-DST and Radio X).

You can turn the radio off? :o How?

The only way I've worked out how to is to drive a cop car.

Best way to explain it, GTA IV= Crapsack world, The Lost and Damn= Rough and gritty life through the eyes of a biker, The Ballad of Gay Tony= An outsider's look at the glitz and glamour of the Liberty City high life.

Personally, I found the DLCs very intriguing. Niko's story is a good one, no arguments there, but GTA IV's main story is to 'crapsack world full of crapsack people' for my tastes.

Hmm.... maybe maybe. It depends what happens with Wasteland 2 and Dead State. They have some amazing writers on that team, and while GTA is always well made. It does have... little evolution. Don't fix what isn't broke I get it, but at this point we know what we're getting into. I don't think that is really worthy of an award if we all of a sudden have what was considered a dead genre suddenly being revived to great fanfare, sales, and reception. It's just too early to say. I have no doubt it will be worthy of some award, but maybe not Game of the Year. Lots of days left in it still.

Because the personality of everyone in the base game is the very definition of "ass".
