Cause it was the right thing to do.

The ultimate consumer has no moral stake in it at all. The whole thing is strictly business. Blockbuster broke the street date, and Bethesda can go after them if they so choose. Big deal.

The shipments of Skyrim that showed up at my job are plastered in neon orange stickers that say "DO NOT SELL UNTIL 11-11-11" I don't know how Blockbuster couldn't have noticed that.

It happens. The other day I walked into my school (I'm a teacher) and the janitors got mad and started yelling at me. I was confused at first but quickly noticed that they had just waxed the floor. There was a sign taped to the door that said, "please use other entrance." I walked right in. Didn't even pay attention. So, it definitely happens.

Now if it was large and neon orange, I might have noticed.
