I harvested a ton of salmon meat look for salmon roe, it obviously still exists in the game. The salmon in your fish hatchery might not give you anything, mine did not. Those hard to catch salmon swimming up those little waterfalls and rapids will probably have a better reward for you.

Ah yes, thats another bug.
I have no fish in my hatchery, no matter how many I put in there.

Also, salmon meat no longer exists in my game, harvesting salmon does nothing.
Please do not go telling me that 'it is obviously still in the game'
Its obviously still in your game. Bully for you.
Its not in mine.

For the amount of content that Hearthfire offers, the fact that it is bug filled and causing freezes is completely unacceptable. I'm just flabbergasted reading about all of these bug issues with a 5 dollar DLC. You know there's a reason why the Turtle beats the hare everytime.

I can't imagine the PS3 version of this add on, it'd be like going to an Adoring Fan convention. :ahhh:

game wont take me beyond loading screen. ( only happens walking into the lake-house or leaving the lake-house)... had to restart the game and a early save! though this happens to me like once a hour? maybe more times! so yeah thats a pretty darn bug!

edit:
Well..... now I also have the freeze up in the lake-house. (After five seconds in the house) cant do anything in the house anymore sadly enough a reason for me to wait until they fix this

No courier. I have waited 2 weeks at least and nada. I even left the game running, no pause or wait screen, just my char. staring off into space as denizens of riverwood wonder what went wrong with the batch of skooma I inhaled for a full thirty minutes RT. Still no courier.

Patches, Beth. Patches.

Also, having read this entire thread, the predominate issues with Lakeview make me sad. That's the property I wanted from the outset. Guess I'll have to settle for the Pale until they rub these wrinkles out.

The game now freezes about 5 seconds after entering Lakeview Manor, and I have to switch off the Xbox.

I've just adopted a daughter, the girl from Whiterun, and this is the first time I've gone back to the house since adopting. Maybe this has something to do with it? No freezes before this.

Lakeview Manor, Enchanter's Tower ate one Mehrunes Razor. Was placed on weapon plaque and only noticed to be missing several saves later. Could not find anywhere in house. Assume to be lost in time and space. That or Mehrunes Dagon took it back.

Also, strange coincidence or bug occurred outside of Riften / Shor's Stone. Spoke with blacksmith at Shor's Stone prior to walking to Riften. Upon arrival, was greeted by one Frost Spider and one Cave Bear. Killed both, no problem, though the nearby guards assisted. Was slightly concerned when one of them charged into battle yelling, "Burn the vampire!" With no other vampires around besides myself, you can see the cause for alarm. Anyway, soon after a courier arrived bearing the sad news that the Shor's Stone blacksmith had died. Walked back to investigate. He apparently was killed by one Frost Spider and one Cave Bear while I was in Riften. The measly 90 gold pieces worth of inheritance does not fully compensate for the loss of a trusted friend.

I also posted in another thread:

I can isolate when the game is freezing in Lakeview Manor for me. It happens when my daughter (Lucia) walks from the main hall into the entrance room of the house. As she goes through that doorway - bam - the game freezes. Every time.

Come on Beth developers, there's something to try to replicate, and then fix.

Few problems of mine:
- I can't get rid of my steward at on one of my homes, I'll ask her to be my follower, say we can part ways, and she goes right back to being a steward. This is the Dark Elf from the college btw.
- Whenever I try to purchase items(horse, carriage, etc) I'm pretty sure it registers to the other house. I bought a carriage and it ended up at the wrong house. When I try to buy a horse, it says I don't have a stable, when I do. Which makes me think its following my other home with nothing but a main hall.
- I have a bedroom quarters with a childs bed, chest, and drawers, but still says I can't adopt a child

I am not absolutely sure this is caused by Hearthfire, but I remember being surprised by it when I noticed it after Hearthfire was installed.

The Windhelm market stalls have developed a glitch where all the meat and weapons previously hanging on Aval and Niranye's stalls is now on the ground. Only the rabbits, fish and herbs stayed on any stall.

I'm not sure if anyone else has had this issue with any of the other kids, but I adopted Alesan and cannot give him any gifts. It says that the item is too heavy. This is regardless of what the item is. I can't give him clothes, food, or anything else for that matter.
I briefly had the naked child glitch...Gave my daughter a new outfit, and her clothes dissapeared. Gave her a new one after that and fortunately that fixed it.
Also...I hope they fix the fox's breathing issues. Seriously creepy.

- The dialogue option to recruit Eric the Slayer doesn't appear

- There is a shelf in the bedroom that has a tilted top. I'm fairly sure that it is supposed to be a trophy case there, but it doesn't appear.

- I experienced a weird wormhole glitch where there was a hole in the cellar that teleported me to the place where the mannequin usually stands. However, this glitch was fixed when I reloaded the save.

The foxes have breathed that way since the game was released, I doubt they will change it.

Not game breaking as I was able to load a previous save: Recruited Marcurio in hopes of making him a steward at Winstad manor. Walking up to the home he prompted me with "Fine home stead...looks like you need a steward, etc, etc." I accepted his offer to become a steward but then he never had any other options show up other than the "since you've just hired me, I'll go back to work with you for free." Reloaded, recruited another follower, and they became steward no problem.

From what I've noticed its not a glitch, its a strange game design; it takes time for the stuff to appear. But, I have heard of ppl waiting a long time in game and the stuff not appear, so its hard to tell. I did a little of both: paid for the stuff, and put some stuff in and let my Steward fill in the rest!

Ok so far I noticed:

- Mannequins in the armory sink with their legs inside the cabinets they stand on and show up empty(well, half empty) though when activated the equipped gear is present. Loading the cell again works sometimes. But every time I enter again I never know what it looks like this time.
The mannequins in the other rooms also are displaced, usually forward but at the correct height and also "empty".
If they load correctly they do load better than the ones in Solitude which have always bugged me by making my game stutter but it is kind of 50-50 as to what they'll look like.

- I adopted the boy from Dawnstar but he still runs around there after a full month telling me he will say his goodbyes and pack up.

- Ysolda is majorly glitched after the ransom incident. She sometimes shuffles like a penguin but stays in place or walks backwards. Never had this before and I reloaded a few times. It always happens right after I rescue her. I tried everything but when her cell door opens she forgets how to walk or something. She is doing the moonwalk beside the bed for a week now. She still goes in and out sleep animation though.
The whole event itself also is a headache as the chronology is off. Sometimes I get the ransom letter when she is still at home or simply find her gone without one.

- Loading screens are longer everywhere though nothing extreme(30 seconds extra or so) but sometimes animations do not load. I get the text and smokey background but not the 3D models.
Nothing extreme but I have heard of crazy loading times and fully black screens and I fear for getting this also.

- With Hearthfire I have experienced my first freezing ups and downright crashes. Xbox does not even respond and has to be shut down by unplugging the power cord.

- I hear reports of corpses not disappearing; I have the complete opposite. Dragon corpses outside my house dissolve into thin air when I leave the area. I go inside my house and when I leave again, even immediately, they are gone without a trace. Same for bandits etc.

- Flower baskets are mating at the doorstep of Lakeview Manor. Every other day or so I find two minimum of them in front of the door and last night there were eight...maybe the dragons transform into baskets? Quite the acid trip... : P

- Inside the houses my stewards stand on top of chairs, dogs bump into everything (Meeko even got stuck in the kitchen between the cupboard and oven) ie. some terrible clipping problems. Only noticed it with stewards and pets so far.

Since installing Hearthfire, I have noticed intermittent bugs (many of which have been listed above), but they do not affect gameplay or the roleplaying experience as they usually disappear or self correct upon reloading into the bugged environment.

I live in a fully furnished 3 wing mansion at Lakeview. Lydia is my wife, Jordis is my steward (and primary follower). Rayya is also there and so are 2 girls.
Here's a list of "irritating" bugs that do not correct:
  • Despite the fact that I have a bedroom wing with two child beds, only one of the girls (random) sleeps in the child's bed (both say owned) and the other little brat stole Jordi's bed upstairs.
  • Jordis no longer follows me at all. The dialogue box appears, but she doesn't physically travel with me. Rayya and Lydia both still follow with no problems.
  • Jordis talks about problems in the basemant (skeevers) that are occurring at one of the other two homes.
  • The dragon remains won't clean up in the front yard -- it's been several days and upon fast traveling back to Lakeview, the remains will only shift around the yard.
  • Salmon meat no longer appears, so I can't put salmon in the fish pond in the Morthal mansion.
Like I said, these bugs don't really affect gameplay per se, but hinder my experience. Everyone should be in their own bed (after all, it was nice to have three women passed out upstairs), Jordis (the badass) should be following me into combat with her fully pimped out enchanted Dragon armor and weapons, and my yard should be clutter free.

I have experienced more freezes after loading Hearthfire than I normally have. It usually freezes when moving. The music and sound keep playing. Only response I can get is shutting down the Xbox. Playing from the hard drive. Did not have much trouble freezing. I could play for hours. Now it will freeze after maybe 30 minutes to an hour. I clear the cache after this happens and can play longer. I also try to make sure I save after doing something tough. Thought I would add my problem to all of the others.

Children now have no clothes.
Stewards are stealing mah gold and not furnishing the house.
The option to furnish the entryway appears a second time after it has been purchased and I am told I do not have enough gold to do so.
thank god sumone els is having this problem, thought I might have the police nocking at my door lol

1 certain store owners freeze *they stay in one spot all the time and dont move*

2 weapons racks in entry hall are bugged *if you put a weapon in there and take it back out you cant put anymore weapons on that rack*

3 sometimes dragonrend wont work *dragons wont come down* (not sure if related to Hearthfire)

4 kids disappear

5 housecoat and (whoever your married to) gets stuck in chairs often.

6 housecoat stands by the beds in the bedroom majority of the time

7 items don't stay on the shelves

8 cow goes through the house (literally)

9 saves get corrupted when i go back to a previous save

10 kids get stuck in furniture

11 sometimes you don't get all the stuff you create using the workbench in the house.

12 the assaults stat is messed up *it counts attacking all sorts of creatures/animals/dragons as an assault*

Llewellyn the Nightingale, the bard at Lakeview Manor, has completely disappeared from my game. I left home for a great deal of time and couldn't find him at home. I didn't dismiss him. My last save where I was home and the bard was there was four hours back, and I'd hate to have to backtrack and redo everything I did in that time just to get him back...
