Yeah... no. That's not how it works.

even most of the people said its only for the console version cause there is a mod to do this long time ago so i think its only for consoles

If this is so, it's most likely because there is a mod for PC that does the same things... However I wouldn't mind getting HF for my PC copy as well.

The mod is just one house in one area, what if we like to live in a different place?

I WANT HEARTHFIRE ON PC! :tes:

Whats up with all these PS3 users hating microsoft?

And whose to say the mod is JUST adding house building...? It's probably adding extra spouses and hopefully a variety of children as well. I don't doubt that it's coming to PC.

I feel like this is where someone needs to go Zing(so I did it)

but on a real not this was not what I was expecting but I think I it would be awesome if I can hire guards and turn it into my own fortress with walls and towers and a big metal gate and other servants. so I can come in and wipe both the empire and stormcloaks out and take skyrim for myself as the 1st emperor of skyrim(eventually over all of Tamerial) and all with the help of my army that I raised at my house.

No but my point is. is that is there any point in having multiple houses? there should really be a feature where you could sell your houses that would be cool

Well you can already have multiple houses, so that's a bit of a moot point.

This DLC is specifically designed around building your own house, outside city limits, and raising a family in it.

what if the house you were building was you first and only house? also don't see any real reason to sell your house(unless you are short on the gold to get the new sword so you go home tell your wife well we are homeless. Wife asks why? you tell her you wanted a new sword so sold the house to cover it.) Sword buying Skyrims Equivalent to real world gambling addiction.

Sword buying its a legitimate addiction this message is brought to you by SBA = Sword Buying Anonymous

Not to be terribly offensive, but the lack of PS3 related stuff is because this thread is for discussing Hearthfire, and it's probably considered off topic. Also the moderators aren't employees.

I do sympathise with you guys, it is taking a stupidly long time, and I don't know if it's really trouble with Bethesda, Sony or what, so I can't go pointing any fingers justifiably. Most likely, like with the PC release, someone in the marketing for these games has gone and decided to delay it until the next publicity stunt, and of course forbidden the devs from mentioning it. Of course, that's me making assumptions and by no means am I or anyone else who say they think they know correct, unless Todd is their real-life best friend or something.

Anyways, on Hearthfire; Definitely looks interesting, I'm assuming you can only build one house as it would be a bit breaking to build more than one. Hopefully you can expand and shape it as much as you want - a cottage or a stronghold kind of thing.

What you said is not offensive at all. It is just very clear to the PS3 users by now that we are not going to get anything in a reasonable amount of time. The mod that created this thread and has already started the misinformation that Bethesda has become famous for in the last few months. "With PS3 releases to follow" BULL SH**!!!! Bethesda has not said a word about the first DLC in 2 weeks and the last thing they said was that it wasnt working the way they wanted (whatever the hell that means). But now with this thread there is already false hope being shoved down the throats of PS3 users and PC users for that matter.

I assure you that there are people out there now just saying that all the PS3 users hate MS and that is what everything stems from, that is not the case for me. I could care less about MS or the XBOX. They have nothing to do with me. Other than it seem that Bethesda would rather please MS than finish what it started for the PS3.

On the lighter side Hearthfire looks great, and is in fact one of the things that I felt was absolutely missing from the original game. I am a collector of sorts as I'm sure many others are, and the house in Windhelm is just insulting when it says it has an armory. I want a place to put one of every weapon next to the corresponding armor. I want a REAL library not that fake one in Markarth, you know enough book shelves to place one of every book on. I want a place that I can setup a nice smithing location without having loading screens between the forge and the cabinet that I keep my 10k pounds of smithing supplies in. In short I want MY house, the way I want it.

The problem is that this like Dawngaurd is something that I REALLY want, but I know now after the Dawnguard fiasco that if I do get Hearthfire it will be 6,8-10 months down the road if not longer.

I do agree that I think that you should be able to sell your home(s). If I build my ultimate home then why do I need several lesser houses? Just like now I have 3 houses 2 of which I dont use dont have anything stored in or anything so I have 40k tied up into something that I just dont use, need, or want.

I think you guys are looking at this the wrong way. Hearthfire is a good thing. This means Bethesda to some degree does like their other players besides the Xbox users because Microsoft made the deal with Bethesda so that the Xbox gets the first two DLC's first. Well, rather than make two decent DLCs that the Xbox gets first Bethesda made Dawnguard, and now Hearthfire, which is such a small DLC it is hardly a DLC. In my mind Bethesda essentially just gave Microsoft the finger by making the second DLC, Hearthfire, a really small DLC that way they can get the deal out of the way, and now they can make the next expansions so they all come out at the same time.

I still have hope for Bethesda because of what they just did with Hearthfire, and them screwing Microsoft out of money.

MOAR WEAPONS AND ARMOR. I don't want to have to be limited to only 2 types of armor just to look normal. Im happy we can have a forge in our house!

Though i wonder how the crafting is going to work... i mean i saw nails hinges and locks... how in depth will this be? O_O_O_O_O_O

With this official add-on to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, youcan purchase land and build your own home from the ground up - from a simple one-room cottage to a sprawling compound complete with an armory, alchemy laboratory, stable, garden, and more. Use all-new tools like the drafting table and carpenter’s workbench to transform quarried stone, clay, and sawn logs into structures and furnishings. Even transform your house into a home by adopting children.

Doesn't that sound like a fortress? Like if i can connect rooms together in a way that makes it seem like a fort

I truly hope that you are right. However with all of the secrecy that has shrouded these past few months I am very sceptical. If it turns out the way you say I will make as many formal apologies as it takes to make Bethesda understand my sorrow for doubting them, but until they start talking to us we have no way of knowing what is going on.
