Be quiet. You have mentioned enough, you don't have to spam the hole forum when you don't like something.

Then , TO THE SIG !

Just saw the trailer, I really like it! I don't know if anything has been said about pricing, but by the looks of it I would guess it should be cheaper than Dawnguard and a cheap, nice addition to Skyrim.

Considering all the focus on EPIC DRAGONSLAYING in the marketing for Skyrim, it's nice to see some focus on roleplaying stuff for once. Decorating your home is just as important as combat and exploration for me.

First, brief impressions are completely positive!

But after all the talk about Hearthfire being concerned with the Thalmor, the Psijics, and lots of other content, I was expecting something like Dawnguard, but larger.

What made you think Player speculation = any form of truth?

I suppose if Bethesda themselves hinted towards any of that officially, I'd understand your dissapointment...but yeah.

It would be lame if after a month exclusive deal with MS that a small DLC like this wouldn't be released on time for ps3 like Dawnguard AKA Townguard dlc. Looking forward to Hearthfire. Now cities with no player homes can be viable to act as a home base. Im thinking an area around falkreath will be my choice. Mage characters wil benefit with a carriage and a home near that dump winterhold.

Seriously , seriously, seriously this is heartfire, I mean I am much to roleplaying and housebuilding and adopting(altougth all adpotion option will be nords so I will not have my pure xenophobic anit nord Dunmer fammily) all that nice stuff is really nice but seriously this is all , if this was just part of some new adventure then okey then i would even give for it much more money then they want for Dawnguard. And here i was thinking that it's okay to not realeas dawnguard for ps3 , so to let other players on xbox and pc to get there new dlc faster, i am out of words, something just looks wrong.

I'm genuinely thrilled to see something like this. The castle DLC and the Wizard's Tower in Oblivion were two of my favorite places, and this adds that type of functionality to the game framework. It'd be nice to have everything in one place, a solid base of operations giving you options you don't have with the run-of-the-mill houses. I've always wanted my own smithy, especially after seeing Forsworn and Bandit smithing facilities.

If there's only one style of house, I hope that others will be added in future patches/DLC. Maybe even a Dwemer-style building using the stuff we find in Dwemer ruins (such as those large decorative struts, etc).

I don't know if I feel like this is funny or depressing that XBOX will very likely have the second DLC before PS3 even has access to the first DLC. I feel so unloved. :(

This is one of the additions that I was waiting for! I can only hope it's been done well! (Different children like Kajit, different home styles, etc)

This is why I never bought a PS3, They really get [censored] on by Microsoft. Mass Effect fans are having huge problems too. And most of the games I play don't come for the PS3. (Halo, Gears, etc)

To the PS3 users,

who else is worried we won't get this DLC? I love the idea, it really adds to the immersion of the game. However, in Oblivion, we didn't get any of the smaller DLCs, we only get the big ones (KotN and Shivering Isles). Why would it be any different now? Also, in the trailer, it doesn't say "First on Xbox Live", it says "Download on Xbox Live"... I have a sneaking suspicion we won't be getting this DLC. And if we don't get this one, we probably won't get any of the other small ones either.

I am not sure if we will get the big ones too, althoug this is something that we will need to wait to see, and at least while it is something that i would want , it isn't adventure so the effect of Xbox gets new dlc before ps3 gets old is somewhat smaller still it is irrtaiting.

Notice how it's an "adoption system"... And do you see any children other than Nords in the Orphanages in Skyrim? Nope, there will only be Nord children. Which also makes sense because you know, what Argonian would come to Skyrim just to put their beast baby in the orphanage...

Unless you know, it's not necessarily adoption. In which case, I need a Khajiit wife ASAP Bethesda!

Since the other thread will be locked and this question will probably be missed... the trailer only talks about an XBox release on September. Is it going to be like Dawnguard where Hearthfire will come to PC a month later? Or not? They don't mention the PC at all...

Im getting it, but they could of ATLEAST used different textures for the house, or just something that feels different besides design. It looks exactly the same internally and externally as every other building in Skyrim, graphics wise. I know it has to fit with the Skyrim artstyle, but hopefully there's more then just that Nordic design... I've seen enough Nord stuff in my 500 hours of gameplay :/ Needs something different and refreshing.

I don't know why, but I found it absolutely hysterical when the video got to the adoption system.

And elf children.

At the very least, let us rename children with beast-race names. Like Brand-Shei got an odd name for a Dunmer because he was raised Argonian.

Hope this means more characters marriageable characters are being added, and characters we already had are also eligible for marriage now too.
