...so then, your theory would be that Bethesda put that line of code into patch 1.8 to get our hopes up WILLINGLY knowing there wouldn't be any DLC for PS3?

... And that Bethesda are going to willingly put themselves into a situation that could result in legal issues?
I'm almost 100% certain that we'll see some form of DLC, be it Dragonborn, Dawnguard, Hearthfire or a small DLC which adds a new set of armor.

I don't want revenge, I don't want lawsuits, I don't want PS3-exclusive content. I just want the same DLC everyone else has access to. And if I don't get it, I will retaliate with my wallet.

No offense, but the example you have described it completely the customer's fault. You are suggesting that people have prior difficulties with bethesda games, but turn a blind eye to their own experiences and repeat their mistakes. Sorry, but wanting to play a video game is not a justification for ignoring common sense and good consumer decision making.
If you genuinely believe that Bethesda struggles with the PS3 platform, as you have suggested them having a "history" of, then it is YOUR responsibility as a consumer to make an informed decision. Saying you are repeating a mistake because you hope someone else will solve the problem just makes you look negligent or incompetent. The problem may or may not be fixed, but every consumer is responsible for making their own informed purchasing decisions.

Well for me it was a belief that there was no way in hell they would release another game as broken as both fallouts, especially on their flagship game.

Hey, I was responding to the specific example the poster made, in which the customer clearly had prior issues with the PS3 platform playing Bethesda games. I'm not defending Bethesda either, I just think it is absurd for someone to say "I got burned repeatedly in the past and keep getting burned because I keep repeating the same decision, but that is your fault, not mine."

If you want to discuss other topics like DLC or platforms, go ahead, but I was specifically responding to an absurd post that seems devoid of the most basic common sense or consumer responsibility.

you are leaving out the fact that bethesda explicitly stated before launch that the ps3 version got extra attention to make sure it ran just as good as the other two versions, which was an outright lie.

Man you all still crying about this **** with Bethesda??? Move on people SKYRIM=BROKEN for LIFE. Nothing going to change it... Sell it, trash it, or use the game disk as a coaster for your drinks, whatever. PS3 Skyrim will never, ever be fixed.
I sold all Bethesda games I owned and will never buy their product again. PERIOD. Look at the list of games they have. If you own any sell them, if you see them at the store don’t buy them. If you want Bethesda to change their ways and stop lying to US, we have to hurt them in their wallet.
And last don’t be fooled again.

That's my plan, though I'm not selling most of the games I've got. They're too good not to keep, broken or no. But I can still hit them in the wallet by declining to buy their stuff new.

its no longer about the dlc's its about the fact they are not telling us anything at all that they did release it for the others and not us its the fact that we were put at the bottom of the list we were not the main goal thats why we are because we should be treated the same as X-Box and Pc not any less because of the system we own

Let's not lose perspective. Bethesda is not 'out to get us' because we use PS3's. They want DLC to work for us, because they want us to buy DLC. And they don't want to alienate us, else we may pass on Fallout 4, ES VI, and other games like 'Dishonored'. What happened was poor planning and bad luck, nothing more.

I hold them accountable, of course. I have no intention of buying any more Bethesda games (I only rented 'Dishonored'), not new anyway, unless they fix this. But let's remember that this was a failure, not an insult or attack aimed at innocent console-users..

According to my TV, the 360 version runs at 1080p and the PS3 version runs at 720p. There is definitely a noticable difference between one and the other. However, it does seem to stertch the 360's GPU to it's limits. It doesn't seem to run optimally on the 360 in that aspect.

Lies. I have Oblivion/Skyrim on the 360 and according to my 42" it is running 1080p full HD. But the thing is. I know. I am not dumb. All that Microsotf does is zoom in the image, but it's running 720p. So ... that means they lie. There is no 1080p.

On My PS3 i have Oblivion GOTY/Skyrim. Guess what? They both run 720p and Sony dosen't lie at least. Oblivion sure also looks a hell lot better. 100 times better.

Exactly... I really REALLY don't think somebody in a meeting at Beth said "You know what? The hell with the millions of dollars our company could make off of the PS3 DLC sales... I just don't like programming for that system! >_<"

And if they had intended to not have DLC for the PS3, they would have said so. It would have been ugly, but not anywhere near as ugly as it will be if they cancel it now.
