Final Fantasy 9 is only #88

I'm not a FF devoted fan or anything, but that game deserves at least top 30.... same with Wizardy 8

Actually, many of these games seem worthy of better positions.
This list is.... interesting???

IGN has never been very good at compiling lists about anything.

It's only up to #60 so far. The rest haven't been released yet.

FTFY. I only browse these pointless lists sometimes when I'm in a gaming rut and want to try some popular title that I haven't played yet.

I believe IGN just told me that there are not only 88 games better than Final Fantasy IX, but 88 games of a specific genre that are better than Final Fantasy IX.

They'll get a mention but Skyrim will be rated above all the previous games. Mainly because its the most recent one and it would be heresy if Oblivion was rated higher than Skyrim on this list. I'm talking flaming haystacks and 19th century pitchforks riots, man.

It's a bogus list if Fallout 1/2, Daggerfall/Morrowind, Planescape Torment, Bauldur's Gate 1/2 aren't in the top 5/10 in some form. It's especially bogus if Skyrim is ahead of any of those games.

Top 5 maybe, but I hope not. IF anything, it will be lower than Dark Souls, if the Dark Souls vs Skyrim article is anything to go by.

Diablo 3 is a friggen joke! The game doesn't even play very well. It's more of the same generic stuff with no innovation. I don't think so. More worthy games could have used the slot.
