Not only that, who knows if the state of the nord and the atmoran are exactly the same? How do we know that all 500 companion weapon was not enchanted with elf-bane. And even if they are the same Summerset Isle has advance from its state at that time.

We've not run into any other Elf-Bane weapons. No others have ever been mentioned.

Atmorra is colder than Skyrim and we see Ysgramor personally in the game. He's a Nord.

Skyrim has also advanced since the time the Nords defeater the Falmer.

I don't remember exactly where I read it, but I know it to be true

Nothing on their UESP page, but the lack of any mention of wars before the Night of Tears http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:History is conclusive evidence that no war major enough to be recorded occured, leaving their troops untested against the admittedly accomplished Atmoran Nords who had come from a country succumbing to a terrible winter and a collapsing society structure

It is colder now as climate change or something similar made it colder, at the time of Ysgramor it wasn't as cold.

Technologically maybe, but culturally they have gone from a force that could manage invasions on multiple fronts to a province that can't effectively secede from the remains of a collapsed Empire.

So the Falmer have never warred against themselves?

Strange, that.

Wait, what collapsing society structure? Where is that mentioned anywhere?

This is pretty much proof that Ulfric's right about the Empire making Skyrim weaker.

Not that I agree that they can't secede. The game starts with a stalemate after Alduin's attack.

I know that Atmoran and nord are the same but that does not mean that they civilization is exactly the same. Like i've said in another thread, how do we know the atmoran didn't use magic? In fact the fact that they have Wuuthrad an enchanted axe suggest that they know magic, someone must've enchant it.

They had a culture on par of Summerset Isle, which has never warred against itself.

Perhaps a minor ruler rebelled, but nothing that could have prepared them for the ferocity of the Nords. The falmer would have relied far more on magic, and possibly had combat strategies styled on magic which would have left them unprepared for the Nords different approach to combat.

But it isn't enchanted at all. You can enchant Wuuthrad. I have soultrap on it.

Bethesda might have borrowed from D&D with the thought of legacy weapons, which are weapons that are used famously and take on characteristics of how they were used in the past, when future wielders get them. But I don't know if that's true or not. All I know is that the weapon isn't enchanted.

How come it's elfbane though, if not enchanted? Just because it can be enchanted is doesn't mean it's not enchanted, we don't really know how enchanting works what we know currently is just gameplay mechanism.

I gave you my theory and we already know we can't enchant already enchanted weapons.

Let me ask you this: Of all the artifacts in the game, why is it only Wuuthrad can be enchanted? There's likely a reason for it.

Fair enough, I admit I can't prove that they use magic at that time besides Tsun remarks that they used to respect magic.

They probably did use magic(though I don't have any proof). It probably just became a taboo after fighting so many wars with the elves and the reachmen.
