True. In the latest DLC:
Spoiler
In Dawnguard, regardless of which side you join, in the end you kill Lord Harkon, and his plan to end the Tyranny of the Sun is stopped.

Sorry for going off-topic but where did you hear that?

Wow, really? All Elves live longer than Humans. The snow elves live longer than Nords and utterly decimated them because, despite their age and skill, they feared how fast Humans reproduced. So Ysgramor sailed back to Atmora and returned with five hundred Nords.

Those five hundred nords conquered Skyrim and defeated the ancient, skilled Snow Elves. The Elves might be "skilled" but the Nords are tough, resilient, and determined.

The snow elves were basically sentient versions of what they were now, they weren't organised at all and got slaughtered without mercy. Which shows when the Nords basically got their asses handed to them by St Veloth (i think) and the Dunmer.

The Altmer still have enough organisation, thousand year old strategists, powerful mages etc. to conquer the Nords with the help of the Empire, they could defeat the Stormcloaks, sacrifice Empire troops to do so leaving them weakened and win the war with the empire afterwards.

What did you just say.... :stare:
Malacath is basically a turd, I believe it was Boethiah who ate another Daedric Prince and Crapped out Malacath.

It was trinimac and he wasn't a daedra, he was an et'ada, as for the St. Veloth, it wasn't him that fought the nords off it was St. Nerevar, he united the great houses, the house dwemer and the ashlander tribes to fight off the Nord and orcs who tried to take over Morrowind, of course at one time the nords did rule half of Morrowind but that was only because the god of luck was living in skyrim and that made everything the nords do successful, after Sai left the nord empire fell and the provinces the nords took over pushed them back.

History

The Falmer were once a proud people with an unusually great aptitude for magic. They had a strong resistance to frost, as their skin was coated with a thin layer of blue-white ice. They inhabited Skyrim before the Nords returned from Atmora, and were responsible for the Night of Tears. They had a civilization which rivaled even the Altmer of the Summerset Isles.

They had conquered portions of west morrowind beforehand though. Both the dwemer and tribunal(Nerevar included) teamed up and stopped them. Not to mention they fought both Hammerfell and High Rock at the same time during the simulacrum(War of Bend'r Mak) and won, hence why they now control the reach. People seem to underestimate just how dangerous the nords are.

Just to reiterate, it only took 500 Nords to defeat a civilization that rivaled the Summerset Isles.

Trinimac was not a Daedra, he was an Aedra. Also, I don't see how he could be a turd, he is the only diety that cares about the orcs.

The Atmorans, who were a much greater empire than the Nords who are basically the remains of a nation that bit off more than it could chew.

Civilization could refer to cultural acheivements, aesthetics, artwork songwriting, building and not military might. not to mention these were Atmorans, not Nords yet. They were a massive empire to the North, and although it was only 500 it was them versus a peacful nation of wizards, much of their culture is unknown, but it is my view they were pacifists (not evidence I know.)

And although 500 won, their whole immigrated society was defeated on numerous occasions and they were driven back to Skyrim (much like the Imperials are now).

Not a turd in terms of personality, he is actually the feaces Boethiah produced after eating Trinimac, hence he is a turd.

The Falmer pacifists, really? Not according to the books. I suppose they were all written by Nords.

Its debatable on how he actually "ate" Trinimac though. There are multiple different accounts of how that may have happened.

Eating seems to mean a lot of things in TES mythos

The akaviri "ate" things to become them.

Originally they were believe to have been pacifists and had at first welcomed the nords into skyrim with open arms but they never knew how fast humans reproduced and it frightened them how quick the Atmorans were settling in and grow, out of fear and paranoia they attack and tried to kill the nords, really its not their fault or the nords its just the falmer thought that the nords lived as long as they did too remember these were a people who besides the Dwemer had no other outside communications with anyone.

Your problem is that you like to speak without knowing what's going on.

Were the Falmer peaceful? No way. The Night of Tears is named that for a reason. The wiki says they were amazing mages, just like you proclaim the Thalmor to be. As for Atmorran not being nords, hahahaha

The document Before the Ages of Man uses the word Nedic as a synonym for Nordic: the Atmoran settlers who followed Ysgramor to Tamriel. According to this text and some others, Nedes are simply Nords. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Before_the_Ages_of_Man

Their whole immigrated society was defeated... when? When they conquered Tamriel?

Was their army defeated by St. Nerevar AND THE DWEMER? Yeah sure. I wouldn't call that a loss though. It's the freaking Dwemer.

Are you saying the Imperials are defeating the Stormcloaks? Cause that isn't anywhere in the game short of the Dovahkiin choosing to ally with the Empire.

The dwemer aren't really as powerful as they seemed, the Chimer won many battles against them and even managed to fight their way to the heart of the Dwemer kingdom, Red Mountain.

You're kidding, right? The Dwemer were and are the most advanced race period. Did the Chimer win some battles? Surely. But they also had a patron deity in Azura the entire time.

That is quite amusing considering what I have witnessed from you up until recently is a great deal of speculation (granted same here but still).
Having followed TES lore for about 14 years (lame I know) I'd like to think I'm in the know more often than not, unfortunately in this debate I am at a loss due to my lack of Falmer knowledge.

Their race is Nordic, but the Atmoran empire is long gone from Tamriel after their asses were whooped.

By the Nerevar and the Dwemer, still a loss. And they had been ruled by the empire for years, and they weren't happy about it yet they took it. Because their time was over, Atmora is gone.

Theres no real evidence that the Daedra assisted the chimer in the fight against the dwemer except Boethiah teaching them how to mine ebony and turn it into armor and weapons the real reason the chimer won against the dwemer is because of Nerevar's brilliant tactics and the fact that if the chimer/dunmer are united they are pretty much near unstoppable.

I don't think you really get the difference in Nords and Atmorrans. They're basically one-in-the-same physiologically. Ysgramor wanted to be buried facing his homeland, but after that the Nords were Nords and Skyrim was their home. There's no "Atmorran Empire" that they pine for. There're even quips about how the Cyrodillian Empire is the Nord Empire! Tiber Septim was a nord and he started the Empire by taking his nord army and conquering Tamriel (with a little help from a weird robot, admittedly.)

The Cyrodillian Empire has forgotten its roots because Medes isn't of Nord blood. He's an Imperial. His concerns are understandably more aligned with where he was born and the people he considers his own. But that doesn't mean the Nords didn't start that Empire. It means that Empire forgot it.

They're probably going to be reminded in upcoming DLCs.

Atmora was the continent the Nords originally hailed from, but never really a major army from it unless you count the 500.

Atmora itself was wiped out to an ice age to the last man (presumably, none alive have from to Tamriel since the seas froze).

Atmoran empire. The empire that conquered Tamriel? a better (correct) way to put it would prbably be the old Nord empire, before they were defeated/assimilated.

They were the first Nords (and humans) to land on the continent and conquered most of it before Nerevar and Kagrenac defeated them and they ended up another province of the Imperial Empire.

They are the same race, but they are a different people. The Atmorans of old aren't the same as the Nords.

I brought the Empire up because they are crumbling and will be defeated one way or another, when that happens the Imperials will be in the same state as the Nords are/were. Once great but now not so great.

Tiber Septim may have been a Nord, but by the time of Uriel the Septims had mostly forgotten their own heritage identifying as Imperial politically rather than Nordic.

The Nords are the same race physiologically, they are not the same as when they first landed and conquered as Atmoran Nords in terms of power or influence. 500 Nords couldn't conquer the Thalmor for example despite being one and the same as the Atmoran Nords.

The Cyrodillic empire forgot it's heritage because the Septims either forgot it themselves or ignored it in order to rule impartially (read: for Imperial benefit).

Atmora was the continent the Nords originally hailed from, but never really a major army from it unless you count the 500.

Atmora itself was wiped out to an ice age to the last man (presumably, none alive have from to Tamriel since the seas froze)
It was also destroyed by internal politics that caused Ysgramor to leave forever, the Nords who landed to settle are what I am referring to as Atmorans.

You're kidding, right? The Dwemer were and are the most advanced race period. Did the Chimer win some battles? Surely. But they also had a patron deity in Azura the entire time.
Advanced scientific knowledge does not equal military strength. Although the Chimer mainly won above ground battles as far as I know, where they had the advantage.
