"God of Schemes"? You mean King of "Non-consensual six" and Harvester of Souls.

And I get that people don't like things and others do. I'm not trying to convince you why you are wrong. I was just wondering why you think everything possible about that was unimpressive.
Fact of the matter is [censored] has jackcrap to do with anything going down in the storyline so there's no point in calling him the god of it. They went with something more fitting for what he's upto. [censored censored]
And neither will being rated T hurt their sales either because they decided to go with Prince of Domination over Prince of [censored].
Being rated M or T won't affect the way the game sales. Look at AoC it was rated M an it did alright at the beginning, but look at it now. Also lets put Tera in there. Just because it's rated M doesn't mean it instantly has more appeal to it.
That's what we were looking for at the very least, sorry you don't feel the game is turning out the way you want it to be, I don't either, but I still plan on playing - and it's not because of some obsessive fan boy dedication. The way you worded it was not in anyway constructive or elaborate, which is why we freaked out.
Yes it is, and I agree, same old vid without mechanics, I personally still think it's better than nothing, but it is about time they show us some official gameplay.
this x 100!
I truly do not understand why people seem to think a rating will affect sells, it certainly will not. GTA seems to be doing pretty well with sells and it was one of the few games that brought massive protests to the gaming industry. Diablo has always had an M rating and used to be one of the largest MMO's in the world.
They went too mainstream with Skyrim imo to keep with the M setting in a MMO. I know Skyrim was M rating, but they're still trying to pool in a huge audience with this I believe, rather than it being a niche game. I wish it was the other way around, but it still feels like with how much they're spending they want as many people paying regardless of what it costs at the lore. Probably a horrible example, but Runescape had an age requirement towards the beginning, was small player wise, dropped it, gained more players, then did a 180 on the way the game was designed and made it for little kids rather than advlts. I think a MMO based game has much more involvement on the parent's part than a single player game - a kid will be less likely to get away with buying a M rated game.
It's not that I disagree with your design philosophy for the game, I'm all for them creating the game they want without regards to the rating, but I can't see that happening to the extent many of us want it. Maybe I'm just messed up in the head and can't fathom why sales wouldn't be affected by a rating, but I've at least given some sort of example/proof as to why it might change, especially in a MMO.
Its just the title though. Its not like they made him a court jester who goes around spreading rainbows and cheer all over the land. Its still Coldharbour, its still him stealing souls and enslaving and dominating and doing the things that make him what he is. Using or not using a certain word doesn't change that.
I understand that they should have used Prince of Domination over Schemes, but I was getting at that whatever the rating is doesn't affect the outcome of the sales for the game. I personally don't care if it's T or M. I just think people (not talking towards you) need to realize that ratings don't ever determine how good a game is going to be, especially in an MMO setting.
I was very impressed with the graphics and art style.
The single player quest should give the TES people enough reason to buy the game and maybe some of them will get into the goings on in Cyrodiil and decide to stick around for a while.
The zombies in collars and chains are us? I can't wait to see what that's all about. Also the chick who brushes her shoulder is she worried about dandruff? She is bald so I don't think she has a lot to worry about there. Nice video I would like to learn more about them Dark Anchors though...
BTW when I first saw the email in my inbox for this and it was from The Elder Scrolls Online Beta team, I was like OH MY GOD! I am in beta...errr not! lol

thats where the title comes from, case solved.
Good find. "God of Schemes" is a correct title then.
There is also the fact that Deadric princes can have similar titles. For example, Boethiah is Goddess of Destruction, but Mehrunes Dagon is King of Destruction. It is not unheard of for them to rule over similar or even the same areas.
I take it back! I was wrong and Lawrence was right, I will be sure to give him the benefit of the doubt from now on, hehe. That's a relief, honestly. He is Boethiah's arch-enemy too (which makes sense in terms of them having overlapping spheres), which is interesting, hope something about that is in ESO as well.
That said I still say Coldharbour could look more interesting. Right now it looks like a slightly blander version of Soul Cairn which was pretty "meh" to begin with in my opinion.
Well that settles that. ZOS does know what the hell they are talking about.
Hmm, we were wrong then, that's pretty cool though.
Brilliant. I'm totally using this thread the next time the forums have a lore panic moment.
Well...
