You could just use the Ald'Ruhn in the 2nd Era thread too, hehe.
I'm really, really glad we were wrong.

I know that there are a few things that they have changed. But they have done a pretty good job on keeping true to the lore.
The video and the lore that was shown was amazing and i'm excited too see more and get into game. But at the same time when I seen the rift open up it reminded me of the Rift mmo and gave me pause and think hmmmm
The environment graphics looked great. It will produce an uneasy feeling while exploring it, just waiting for something to appear and destroy me. One thing I'm still disappointed about is the character models and gear. At 0:57, take a look at the mage. Looks like how WoW draws their graphics on their paper mache toons. I'm crossing my fingers that Zenimax has something better to bring in before launch.
eh, the staff is pretty similar to something you'd see in WoW I agree, but the character model is far from a wow character model, although I do agree that it does feel a little cartoonish and could use some improvement but its a video game, so it is what it is, I'll still buy, sub, and play.
Even if they did straight up gank the rift idea I wouldn't be too upset, that system was awesome and part of why Rift is still doing well for itself.
Anyone else notice the very faint micro stuttering throughout the in game footage? It wasn't the video because it wasn't there at all when the devs were speaking. Only on the in game footage. What could this mean for our graphics/performance?
No, honestly. But as for what it means- probably that beta is beta, and the fine-tuning performance issues probably isn't their current focus.
Or for the recording software they were using...
this was likely the case, if not, its nothing to worry about because it won't be there during launch.
Watched it a few times, didn't notice anything weird. Maybe it was just your video stuttering for some reason? It seemed smooth and looked good to me.
nah, facing the god of rainbows and kittens is far too daunting for even the bravest of MMO players. For one thing this is the internet, half the player base would probably chose to side with a kittens prince no matter how heinous his crimes.
"Find where his soul is being held and why?" If the explanation does not involve a cucumber-shaped thing, lots of ugly imagination and a "safe word" I will be dissapointed.
Like what? I have to disagree. Sorry,But yeah too early to judge.
But then this Wiki says otherwise. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Molag_Bal and if you click on the other wiki read the description where it takes you to the page of Bal. http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Molag_Bal So you have one page to my two so therefore the lore page trumps the other page.
Cool, i guess? Not terribly impressed by Cold Harbour but it looks good enough for me. Variety of Faith does describe Molag Bal as a Schemer but it is one of his lesser titles and they really should just call him the Prince of Domination. Conveys his more important sphere and implies the relevant message to new players.
Please don't use the Elder Scrolls Wiki for your lore needs. It is terribly inaccurate way too often. UESP is a much better source.
I use UESP but others used the other one. I originally posted the UESP Lore page not the Elder Scrolls Wiki.
Who cares which wiki says what. Zenimax makes the lore, if they say Molag Bal has curly hair and a red nose, he has curly hair and a red nose.
Even if there is a book ingame that says otherwise. In that case the fictitious author of the book was simply wrong or not objective enough. And isn't it possible th titles of Deadric Princes changed over the centuries? Maybe Molag Bal changed his methods?
This game is before all of the Single Player games. Before the Empire. So the argument that he changes over time then he would have to be Prince of Scheming in all of the games so we rewrite all of the previous games Lore in the Elder Scrolls series.
On the one hand, it is pretty.
On the other hand, no information.
Im not sure what you are saying here. It seems to me that if you suppose he changes over time then logic would conclude that he would NOT have to be prince of scheming in all the other games.
ESO is before the empire before any of the Elder Scrolls single player games. The dates indicate that so if Malrog Bal is not the Prince of Scheming in the future he sure will not be in the past. He said he changes over time? Then the lore is officially incorrect and so is the games.
I dont like that attitude you have. So people need to accept exactly everything zenimax says about the lore?
I and many others care about what wikis says.
