Just recieved my Fallout NV Game Guide -Spoilers-

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 2:09 pm

is there a p90 in this game, if not any smexy smgs? paticularry a 9 mm smg, and some bullpup p-d-w's

edit:S in your most recent post you posted 2 things i have querys about, one what is the endurance requirement for implants, we all knew there was one, but what is it exactly, and when you posted power armour stats you didnt show damage resistance, only threshold. i was under the impression dt was re-added, but now im wondering, is there still dr?

Under the guide it labels DT/DR as the same thing.

So for instance say a particular armor has 50 DT, it would have 50 DR as well (at least that is how the guide labels it).

The Implants section just says it needs an Endurance requirement, it does not specify a particular amount.

@jared there is no p-90 in the weapon listing

I'm guessing you don't have the game itself yet or you would be putting that guide to better use.

Also, how far is Goodsprings from New Vegas itself?

So is it true about needing END 9 to get all of the implants? Any limitations at all? Also, where can I get the Ranger Sequoia and how soon? Does it require joining the NCR?
i just want to let you know i'm very grateful for all this extra info. Thanks a lot, man!

The guide says you "need the endurance to handle additional implants" That's all it says.
I see a Ranger Combat Armor and Patrol Armor, no Sequoia armor. You can probably kill a NCR to get it.

What are the stats on the best armor that doesn't reduce your stats?

Does the guide have the formulas for calculating skills based on stat points? Are they the formulas used in Fallout 3?

Remnants Power Armor has 28 DT/DR, +1 STR and +15 Rad Res

It doesn't go into depth on what formulas they use for skills.

Highest energy wep req is 6-8 STR

Yeah, got the game preloaded on Steam.
Distance wise, Goodsprings is essentially in the middle of the world map (far left). New Vegas is at the top-middle of the map, if that makes any sense. Can't really explain it distance-wise.

Doing a fast count I totaled 152 weapons. 42 are unique.

Lvl 24+ Perks:
Slayer Speed of all melee weapons and unarmed +30%
Nerves of Steel- Regen action points faster
Rad Absorption- lose one rad point every 20 seconds if you are not in an irradiated area

Thanks again. I just watched a character creation video and it looks like New Vegas uses the same formulas as Fallout 3.

Could you possibly list all the unique weapons that fall under the 'guns' category? I'm also interested in where you can get the Ranger Sequoya. Thanks in advance

zeroarmada, sorry if I wasn't clear. the Ranger Sequoia is actually a unique hunting revolver. In the dev diary in which it was mentioned, they said it was given to elite NCR Rangers. Please get some info on it, it will be much appreciated.

Elite rangers from the NCR Ranger station Alpha, based on the fallout wiki at wikia

Weapon with highest base DMG rating is the Gauss Rifle YCS/186 (140 DMG rating) found on a dead mercenary at a small camp north of Brooks. Wild Wasteland trait must NOT be taken.

well, did the math and it looks like i can have lockpick, science, repair, and guns maxed by level 17 with 11 points extra. IN10, education at 4, no books.

hmm...maybe i wont do the exp glitch after all...i can have lockpick and science both done by 8 but theres a skill requirement for guns...

f*** it, well do it live! hopefully you level up at a decent speed and it all works out nicely.
