You aint me. buddy. Worst case scenario, I use the infinite shout glitch, which in "real" life (I know thats ironic since this isnt real) Theres no limit to saying words.

glitch does not equal lore.

Thats what they want us to think. Akatosh sure kicked Mehrunes ass good. And he was strong enough to keep him out of tamriel for good. Cant be that weak, probably just dont want to communicate.
Or maybe, the Aedra simply have more foresight. And understand direct intervention with a Deity probably wouldn't have the affect. Like the idea of Kyne making a breeze knock someone down a cliff disheveling the rocks along it, why? Because perhaps in a hundred years those rocks will block a path of an already late courier making it so his important order to some Captain doesn't get there on time making it so that his is Agitated and his sight is clouded and loses a battle. Or hits a soldier/Serving girl in his anger, making them spiteful and become a spy.
Its cause you have plot armor its the only reason why they don't wipe you off the map for defiling their shrines daedra princes take the defiling of their shrines seriously I mean REALLY seriously. The whole point of molag bal quest was that a priest of boethiah defiled a small shrine of his and for it bal is most likely going to [censored]/torture him for eternity.

I mean nocturnal messed over the thieves guild and ruined their business because of mercer messing around with something that belongs to her.

edit: I haven't played morrowind is the Nerevarine a champion of Azura?
His sphere of influence is Domination. Power. Control. He sees the world from one lens, and thats that of needing to control mortals saying that makes him evil is like saying the Wolf eating the weak little Faun is. It's simply what there meant to do and they can't see any other alternative.

Joke, but either way in "lore" he wouldnt have to wait to say another word. Thats only for gameplay reasons. Anyway Nevarvine (sp) isnt here anymore, thank god, since he's immortal.

I thought they chose to be the way they are. They're daedra, so they can change things including themselves with their power.

No, their sphere is them, are we not just a collection of emotions, drives and wants? In reality they are incorporeal and who they are is defined by their Sphere.

Some people also say people are evil due to their brain chemistry.

Daedra and aedra are not mortals they don't think the same way and good and evil don't apply to them since they don't see various actions as good and evil each one see's the world through their sphere it's just how they are.

What I mean is in my opinion, most of them are still "evil" despite this. I dont believe for a second that beings as powerful as daedra cant control their own nature. More then likely, they just dont want to, since no ones gonna stop them for the most part due to their power. Except Akatosh cuz he's the [censored]. I'll throw you a bone though. Lets say that its relative, and from a mortal perspective, certain ones r evil. Still gonna [censored] on Molag's Alter!

This is a fun discussion. Much better than previous ones I've been in. All this talk of daedra just reminded me of a question I had. Why is Sheogorath still Sheogorath? I thought we ended his cycle in Shivering Isles. Shouldnt he still be Jygallag? (Serious spelling error)

Unfortunately I don't think thsi is the case. They represent an aspect, as far as I know of has ever been hinted at, they don't have control over what they like to do.

That seems lame as hell. I was always thinking how awesome it would be to be a daedra, but if I have no control over my own sphere as far as what it represents....

Ah I get it, so Mehrunes Dagon can squish 10 Veteran Legionares with his toes in one stomp.
Spoiler
And Akatosh had all he could do to just banish him back to his realm.
And we are somehow planning on a war against all the daedra? Good luck!

Lets also find other enemies we can permanantly destroy so that Bethesda can never make another elder scrolls game again........ No thank you.

Akatosh beat his ass and sent him packing to his momma, and that was with limited power through the body of a mortal. Pretty impressive. Mehrunes Dagon is a [censored]. Even worse is every1 saw that ass whoopin. Doubt he'll have many followers after that. And you KNOW my man Sheogorath was makin fun of his ass when he got the old return to sender. I'd rather not kill any of them though. I just wanna piss Molag off by defiling his shrine, killing his followers and any "champion" he gets to try and make me submit, then die n go to Sovngarde, then he REALLY couldnt get me. Then I could talk [censored] about him and I'd have 1 over a daedra lord for eternity.

I want a DLC or expansion for Skyrim when you join the Daedra or Aedra based on what side you choose. You could get your own plane of existence, and new special powers. Not like in SI when you became Sheogorath (incorrect spelling I believe), that was awful. The chances of this happening is 0.0000000000000000000000000000001 unless you make a entire new set of quests in a mod workshop for yourself.

If you payed attention to the end of the Shivering Isles DLC, you'd see that Jyggalag and Sheo became two separate entities. The CoC became Sheogorath while Jygallag became his own being.

I did pay attention, and dont remember any1 in game saying that.

Whoo boy, people will argue till blood is shed over that one.
Though I am apt to be on your side in this.

Dragonborne and the Septims are not the same...
Mortals cannot become Daedric Princes...
These are things we will never agree on as a whole...

...No one says it, it happens. You see it, you do it. The CoC IS Sheogorath at the end of that story. He sits on the throne. He holds the staff. They are the Madgod. How else can you interpret it? Just a placeholder until an actual Sheogorath is crapped out of Jyggalag?

The wiki says otherwise. They say its possible that the champion of cyrodiil IS Sheogorath now, or appearing to be in Skyrim.

Then it is what it is. I'm content with it.
