Looks like you can forget it..

All I'm getting from this thread is that you have an irrational hatred for a fictional race of people because of your make-believe choices as a fictional person. And because of those fictional beliefs, you are pitching a real-life fit about a $5 add-on to a game.

Also, I'm getting that you write in verse.

In my opinion, NO. And dont forget that Skyrim is a part of the empire as well, and both provinces have their own unique architecture, so whats your point? And Imperial doesnt = more civilized. It equals more fancy. Not the same thing.

Ahh yes , opinions.
I see , I should have made myself clearer.

I want something Fancy , not that primitive Nordic.

Those "primitive" nords were the ones who built solitude in the first place. Just because you dont like the style of the other towns and cities doesnt make them primitive. They're a practical race known for battle, and fancy doesnt help them in that regard. Solitude may be a city with Imperial style, but it is still a Nord city through and through.

If you think about how rare dwemer items are according to NPCs in Skyrim, building a mansion out of it would be ridiculously expensive. I say no to that idea of building it from dwemer scrap metal, but the stone part would be awesome.

If that's what you mean... I envision you wantnig a solid dwemer metal house which would look like a gold house...

You brought it up by calling their architecture primitive when it is not.

Fine. You're not stupid, we just have a difference of opinion is all. I get defensive over Nords since they're my favorite fictional race, lol. On topic then.

As someone brought up, what if Hearthfire's Nordic style is a test? Maybe they'll release other "House Style" DLCs as DLC for the Hearthfire DLC to be DLd so you can use that C to build a Dwemer house instead of a Nordic house?

I think it's possible for different architectures to appear with more DLCs.
However , still , disappointing.

Just thought about it.
They say that Hearthfire will really feel alive ( The children and the family ).
If it will be really complex ( for a change ) it can be great :D
I even might Role-Play something into my Breton to build a Nordic house.

We live in Skyrim, a Nord house is logical. Doesn't bug me at all.

I remember arguing with someone about this.
I can't believe but now I say exactly what he said to me:

NOT EVERYONE IS A NORD.

But you are in Skyrim, yes?

I'd love other architecture designs, but we are in Skyrim, where Nordic is the most common architecture style.

bethesda knows that, & seeing as this DLC is mainly for rp purposes, it wouldnt make much sense to just have nord architecture as it would be best to cater to everyone's playstyle. hopefully they'll include more

I am a Khajiit and do not mind living in Nordic houses. I have a question, will there be preset layouts? Because It would be awesome to have custom layouts.

Not sure if we will have the option to make Dwemer style house after all presumably these were built by Dwemer and plans etc are possibly lost, it would also be very expensive as someone else has mentioned. However saying that would be great to see all styles from each hold present to chose from, don't imagine it would be too difficult to accomplish so fingers crossed :)

Obviously, I play a Khajiit.

Theres lots of people who build their own homes and design them to the architecture of the location they're in, so no. If I was in Japan, I'd build myself an authentic Japanese house. When in Rome...

They're not going to reveal everything Hearthfire has to offer in the intro videos so we can only assume what else there will be. However, we have to remember that it is only $5 so we would be unwise to expect loads of new things such as building a Dwemer ruin themed home.
