But if you had the ability to Build your Own home there you wouldn't build It Japanese , am I right ?
Depends on the material and if I wanted to stick out like a sore thumb. I can see your point but it's not a deal breaker for me.

An English course might help you...

Jokes.

Yeah i agree, i hope to god there is more than one type of Architectural style, but if not that will do me... I'm a nord xD
One thing i would have loved to have is Eleswyr type architecture, loads of outlandish rugs and curtains and stuff :3

While I would like an Elsweyrian architecture type house, they are built to keep cool in the Hot desert... We're in Skyrim o.o

I think the notion that the local architecture is the only kind around because it stands up the the environment is a pretty solid one.

Also, the resources needed to build other styles of homes may not be available or easily obtained. Makes enough sense to me, I don't expect a massive amount of features for my $5.00. You tend to get what you pay for.

guys guys guys.

what is the big deal here? are we spoiled little children?

no, first of I remember seeing some Breton people live in Nordic houses, second kinda those not meter if one could only make one look.
in real life its mostly seen as a some one mild disrespect to buy land and them make your own cultural home. same as moving to a other country and not learning there native tong.
I am from Holland and I type in English mostly to show respect for this forum, it would be rude to start typing in Dutch.

same go s for housing, nords would see it as a disrespect coming to there land claming it and making it a little Highrock. what is the nords did that to the bretons or Ciradill? now there is one thing even if Solitude was made by and for the Impirials the lay out is some what nordic too.

I just want a log cabin. Even if my character is an Imperial, he lives in the harsh lands of Skyrim. And since my house will be in the Pale, he must adapt to these cold conditions!

I can't imagine seeing those kind of buildings in Skyrim. Maybe that last one, but still.

Those are some ugly gaudy houses, no offense. Doesn't fit Skyrim at all. Might as well add a Skyscraqer to the mix.

Well, it doesn't fit the Nordic nature in Skyrim, but then again, that shouldn't restrict the player's taste on his/her house that they desire. But then again, it's still Skyrim.

Well.. It doesn't fit since you can't imagine it.. As you probably can't imagine some Japanese castle.. Which are, by the way, awesome..

I would love to build a house in a different architecture but you know its not a deal-breaker for me. If I had to guess nordic architecture will be the main design for most houses.

I want a double-wide mobile home! Is that too much to ask!?!

Seriously, I'm betting that we will see three different styles: one for each hold that we can build in.

The developers have to maintain the aesthetic integrity of the world they've created. The images you linked to would look ridiculous in this game.
