PC Patch out Now

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 12:56 am

I'm not saying this isn't an issue, but wanted to mention something. I remapped my F key outside of the menus to something other than camera switching (f by default will take you into third person view), and replaced it with "P". In the menus now it still says F to favorite something on the help tip, but uses the remapped P. IE check your mappings for the camera/view setting and try using that key to favorite items.

Thank you, that actually worked ! :woot:

Confirmed, resistances are broken. If you guys can view this link, it shows flame atronach taking damage from my firebolt.

Are Atronachs' resistances supposed to be at 100% to the relevant element?

This just in: patches may render your mods incompatible and turning them off may be necessary. :unsure2:

I get the feeling the Bethesda crew is hard at work with a new patch.

How do I put Steam into offline mode? Sounds like this patch is a disaster.

For people who don't get a menu at the loading screen, It appears to be a mod problem.
disable all your mods!
Worked for me

Edit: Vals Crafting Meltdown Alpha was the culprit for me.

I can now pick books using M3, and rotate lock with the arrows. No particular issues for me.

It's a nice way of sayin'

Hey guys,
It's just a game. Even if autodeletes itself entirely from your drive,
It's just a game.

But Beth, don't sleep on it. And bring in Carmack.

All I've downloaded is a Psiijic robe retex, and like three crafting mods. That's about it.

Oh, and retex'd ebony so it has the pretty gold trim.

Someone said that one of the crafting mods was incompatible with the patch. Just to let you know.

I installed the patch and am glad the arrows that were stuck in my character are gone now. Not having any CTD's or mouse issues like you guys. Haven't seen any dragons yet or got to test any magical resistance stuffs...

Installed 1.2- logged on and killed two dragons- a random blood dragon and some named dragon... both went down without issue. No other problems observed- seems fine to me so far.

Just curious. It seems like most people having problem are running mods, but I wanted to ask. If everybody not running mods is fine, and everybody who's getting screwed is running mods, that would be important to know.

Open Steam -> select Steam menu option -> select go offline. Also in Steam -> righ click Skyrim -> select properties -> select updates -> select do not automatically update this game (Note that when you switch Steam back to online mode it will reset to auto update your games (cus it hates you)).

I think a lot of people will discover that having mods activated will cause issues after a patch. Looks like there are some new bugs as well but so far anything I have read about people not being able to run the game or load the game relates to active mods.

Disabled a crafting mod, and now it works. Mouse sensitivity is stupid atm, resistances don't work.

I ain't runing no mods.
The patch deleted some of most recent saves.
Won't bother to check the resistances issues nor the dragon flying bckwards . moonwalking Dragon anyone?

Had this idea. WIll stop playing for a while. WIll come back when they've fixed it.
A month from now?
