The reaction to the endings is completely justified, ...snip... Mass Effect 3 has so many high points yet the last 10 minutes ruin the franchise for me. N
Ok... just to be really clear, because you've gone a bit melodrama about it - the reaction to the endings is... a reaction. Period. The endings are what they are. People like, hate, are meh about them as is their personal subjective preference/opinion. If they want to go nuclear on the internet about it, that is their perogative. Even though I personally think it's a bit extreme. And if the last 10 minutes ruined the franchise for you, that's a shame. It's an excellent three game arc. I've read many terrific books and had problems with an ending, or a plot point that made me downgrade the book a bit, but it does not take away from 100s of pages of good story telling.
I like to keep a pretty balanced perspective on things. It helps when you see all the peaks and valleys of internet drama.
Hold the line! We will not let their rhetoric stand in our way this day. Can't believe people are just bending over and taking this kind of treatment.
Gamgee, you know I am fond of you... but dude... go sit, relax, have a nice beverage or something. It's a game, it had a - in my opinion - poorly realized ending that did mitigate my overall enjoyment, but it did not erase the fun I had with the game overall. Yeah, it would be nice if there was a clearer ending. But the developer did not treat anyone horribly - they told the story they wanted, even if we disagree with some of their decisions.
I'm with you brotha! I refuse to buy ME3 unless two conditions are met; at or below $20 or free ending fix. And there goes any hope of me buying any dlc for the first two games (I have both games but no dlc)
Let me be really clear. The ending is not broken. It's discombobulating. It's "meh".
And if you didn't get the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC, you missed out on some fun.
