As angry as you all are with Bethesda, none of this is going to matter as long as you all keep buying the content immedialty after it becomes available. You're all blowing up the forums in anger and frustration but think about it. If you keep spending your money on their stuff, they're going to keep doing business this way. As consumers the only way we can dictate how companies go about business is with our money and how we spend it. You'll be wise to remember that.

Not at all. You are rightfully upset and between all being advlts here and the profanity filters, i think we'll all be alright.

Future Bethesda products, no doubt about it i'm going to have to think long and hard about getting them.

Skyrim is another matter altogether. I've got money and time(just under 1000 hours now spread over my 4 characters) invested in the Skyrim experience as a whole. I plan to finish the journey out.

Communication seems to be something gamesas and others in the game industry such as Sony both lack. you think having a open dialog with fans pr potential fans would be a great idea but alas people at gamesas have turned mute and will not give proper answers. PS3 users deserve an explanation. if you want people to buy your prodcut you beter damn well be honest and communicate . i have ditched the PS3 version of Skyrim for the PC so i will not be bothering.

So you are saying that instead of getting two full products exclusively, Microsoft essentially is getting one and a 'gift with purchase'? And that since the 'gift'(Hearthfire) is crap, Bethesda is somehow making out like a bandit? And that this whole supposed interplay is somehow a good thing for myself and other PS3 players? Sorry guy, uh-uh.

I do not care about Microsoft. I do not care that they threw money at Bethesda and that Bethesda rightly took it(that's business). I do not care about even care about delays all that much, i've been playing videogames all my life and delays are inevitable.

What i DO care about is when is Bethesda going to finally give some info on the status of Dawnguard? Real info, not the tripe they have been pushing for months. Has the dlc been cancelled? Has work on Dawnguard been put on hold until after the holiday push? Has work on Dawnguard been redirected from a standalone dlc to a GotY component?

You know, real info. Not crap from the internet verbal diarrhea machine AKA Twitter.

EDIT: Yes i do hate Twitter.
i can see where he is coming from by hearthfire is a good thing i see it as a good thing for two reasons
  • it will end the microsoft exclusivity
  • its not really something to get jealous over i mean wouldn't you rage if it was a shivering isles size dlc that we might have to wait several months for?

I'm looking forward to playing DG if it ever gets to us. I am however not angry it's still not here, quite frankly it's annoying, but not a big deal to me. I'd rather wait and get a working version of DG than one that Beth even says playing nice. I mean if BETH is saying it's not playing nice, then I trust it isn't, cause they said Skyrim WAS playing nice before launch, and look at how that turned out. I am however looking forward to giving it a go when/if it gets here. Also Really looking forward to Hearthfire, and getting a home near Falkreath

I'm just really disappointed if anything else i mean skyrim is a great game dawnguard would just make it better. Its like i get off work and turn my ps3 on and no dawnguard day after day its really just kind of getting old. Could you guys at least just give us ps3 users a release date i mean already another dlc out now and im not even going to get the crazy idea that i will play it anytime soon. I mean really if i comes out in 2013 that just totally unacceptable. Info would be nice have a great day.

Time to work for Bethesda, work my way up the ladder, and take over.
Some of us understand the need to communicate with customers.

This is absolutely ridiculous! I know it is just game, but I feel like this is a crime against PS3 owners, I paid full price for a broken game and was not warned about it being defective! and I did not complain. And now this delay with Dawnguard... I now there are more important thing in the world then this silly little DLC. But we have the same rights as PC & XBox owners of the game. My question is why have are rights not been met?

I agree, if we continue to buy any of their products on PS3 they will consider this business model acceptable, probably even profitable and smart. Because they are getting a lot of money from us for very little effort.

I'm not about signing petitions and issuing empty threats so I'm not advocating we all grab our torches and pitchforks to storm over to their offices.

But we need to just stop buying their crap. Between that continually reminding them that 11.11.11 is a day that will live in gaming infamy and they do need to construct reparations to earn our business back.

Beth, if you didn't give us this god awful silent treatment, I wouldn't be nearly as angry (I'm sure many other people would agree). But I'm borderline getting pissed off now. Run your damn business.

My question is why have are rights not been met?
I'm not sure, I'm not a lawyer, but certainly a product that doesn't meet the container description after nine months is failing to meet its intended use right?

There were zero warnings to consumers that any particular version of this product would receive more or less support. So in some regard I think they are failing to provide good faith efforts to support the product.

That said, is there any money in it that could lure a law firm to do something about it? Probably not, otherwise somebody would probably already have jumped on it (I guess.)

Bethesda releases a buggy Skyrim, players complained about it. Bethesda chooses to delay Dawnguard to repair bugs to meet customer demand, PS3 users complain and spontaniously combust. You'll never be happy.

By the way, no crime or felony is being commited and no civil rights are being broken here. Bethesda doesn't even have to sell Dawnguard to PS3 users if they don't want to. That choice comes with being the creator and owner of a product.

With that being said, I agree that not keeping the community informed is strange. It's not that they need to update you on every little thing but a bit more information on just what might be taking place would definitely ease some tension.

10 threads at roughly 200 posts each = 2,000 replies. And still not a word from Bethesda. This company has no respect for their PS3 customers.

Even with my current point of view on this whole subject, I really do think they should atleast release a statement letting the Sony community know why it's taking so long and what it is their fixing. I don't know if it would help but I don't think it could hurt.

The fact that dawnguard hasn't been released on PS3 yet has also started to attract media attention, i went onto one of our largest newspapersites and it was clearly visible on the frontpage.

Good, I hope they eventually go under. I'm not buying another Bethesda made game. Too bad to, because I was really looking forward to Dishonored.
Oh the plus side, I bought Dragons Dogma. Good game, I recommend it..and hey, you'll never guess.. no glitches!

Exactly, Xurts. I completely agree with you. Bethesda's silence is deafening.

THAT's all I'm asking for is a simple, non-sidestepping the problem statement. An acknowledgment that they still care and are still ACTUALLY working on it.

i don't know about anyone else but Skyrim was my first bethesda game & my last. i will buy the skyrim dlcs but thats because i love skyrim & i want to feel like my characters stories are fully done. like bioware or hate them, for me if theres another mass effect spin off game i'm buying it because they have shown they can annouce dlc & have the dlc out on all platforms on time. & with money being tight nowadays, the key is trust. & i trust bethesda to make good games but i don't trust them anymore with getting the dlc out on time to extend my play time with there games. - Againstallodds14
