PS3 Release for Dawnguard - Thread #23

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 5:57 am

Stay away from 2 worlds its not very good...
It's better than skyrim though.

Sooner or later there will be Dawnguard for PS3, don't worry. But what is amazing to me is that you people are shocked that Bethesda is ignoring the PS3 issues. I mean, when I see "buy a PC, then game and download DLC" as a "fix" to a problem... I'm really not shocked. Not at all.

Oh, and about games "better than skyrim" - Ultima IV-VII and Gothic 1-3 for example. You don't need a powerful PC to run them and these games are fun.

Guys...They are not still working on DG..Come on..Do you honestly think, a multi million/buillion dollar company/industry still struggles over coding THIS much?!?! Its been SEVERAL months now...Get over it, Bethesda is stringing you along...Its not coming..Atleast not via dlc...The only way ps3 sees Dg, is in GotY ed...And i for one, will not be purchasing it, nor ANY other Beth product..

I merely check back here bi-weekly to see how long theyll keep up this charade!

PS: Ive stopped Skyrim altogether...Ive actually been enjoying Demon/Dark Souls...DC universe online(free)...Looking forward to Dragons Dogma (when its not still $50!) More replays through Dragon Age origins (part 1..Part 2 was a money grab joke, though i still enjoyed it...Forcing myself to belive it was a standalone, lol) Darksiders 2...Hell, i even keep my games rather than sell them for $10 to gamestop, and have replayed ALL of the gods of war, Batmans, Saints Row 2 & 3, ugh...

Theres just FAR too many great titles out there, to feel like youy have to bow down to a [censored]rty gaming company like bathesda!

FAR too many......

There's absolutely no way Bethesda would release a PS3 exclusive DLC. None. I can't even begin to count the reasons why.
I can think of one reason, Sony's help isn't coming cheap, so I could see Sony waving the bill and having beth sign a contract obliging them for an exclusive DLC, but in all reality I doubt bethesda will do a sale or any such thing, they will put it out and expect users to be happy, and frankly people will still buy it.

At least they've lost one costumer. Won't buy any of the potential future dlc's. If I ever buy Dishonored, it will be second hand.
Switched Skyrim out for Dark Souls. Loving it. :) Such a shame though. My favourite developer, not giving a [censored].

Ahhhh, Thread 23. Other than Hines usual "no update at this time" tweets over the last few days, nothing new. My friend that originally turned me onto TES, has recommended playing Kingdoms Of Amular: Reckoning. The few screenshots I've seen look decent. Can anybody else that was previously addicted to Skyrim on PS3, give me their feedback on this release? Graphics, World, Story, and playability comparisons?

Good lord, you guys still don't have Dawnguard yet? Gone for a month and still not one shred of information. Well this has gone from a simple inconsistancy to a hell of an all around screwing. Figured you guys would have it by now.

Yeah, Beth and roger goodell would make good business partners.

By the way, this is funny, ^^

That would imply that Bugthesda actually cared about the PS3 and not just treated us PS3 users like red-haired stepchildren. I don't expect the DLC to be released this year anyway so I've got better things to do. Persona 4 Arena is keeping me plenty entertained.

You know what i think, i think Dawnguard or any DLC is not coming for Ps3 at all, and Todd COWARD and the rest of Bethesda is stalling and planning away to break the bad news to all the ps3 players. Its either that or Bethesda made an evil deal with Microsoft to screw all the ps3 players and force some of them to transfer to Xbox 360!! Not me Todd Coward!!! Not Me!!!! curse you an your Lies!!!!!

Bethesda got Sony involved, and Sony isn't just going to let them give up on their fans. Now, if Bethesda doesn't release Dawnguard, Sony will also be screwed over. Bethesda doesn't want to piss off Sony, or they can kiss almost a third of their future profits goodbye. Sony won't release future Bethesda games if the customers can't play the full game.

Sony are now working with Bethesda to help them sort out the problems. I read this on a news site for games. I play Skyrim on the PC because I like the player mods would never play this on console.

I dont get why bethesda are working so hard on bringing dawnguard to the ps3. surely the should concentrate on hearthfire i means its probably a way smaller file and less problems would occur

Because if they can get Dawnguard to work the same principles can be applied to Hearthfire. Additionally Hearthfire's thirty day exclustivity period doesn't end until October 4th, making its earlist possible ps3 release date October 9th. Additionally the team working on Dawnguard wouldn't be the same team working on Hearthfire.

I fear that they won't EVER admit that they aren't going to release Dawnguard truth is I would prefer they be honest and say it.

Friday night (the 28th), I'm looking to see if any news is released concerning dawnguard. If there is still no news, I'm trading in Skyrim. I'm only keeping it for dlc, and it seems beth isn't planing on making any for ps3 users.

THey said no FAllout3 dlc (came out a year later I think), I bought the CE of New vegas (have the us disc so no dlc for me on psn canada), and now this.

I won't say I'll never buy a beth game again but I sure as El won't buy any more on release day.

I've just started this myself. The combat is better. It has everything Skyrim has. I don't like tha artwork as well, it's more fantasy-like, but I'm getting used to it. Best of all, it runs GREAT! I really like it. There is a good sized demo you can download free from PSN. that will help you decide.

Perhaps Bethesda should have given Sony a call before they released Skyrim in the first place. It's good that they are potentially trying to solve the problem, but Bethesda should have reached out for assistance when they were obviously struggling with the main game.

Bethesda, people would be more accepting if you kept us updated. It's been, what, three months? And we've only had one 'official' update. I hope they can start keeping us filled in.

Popped on to the forums to check for any updates. I really like the Elder Scrolls series, honestly it is just a gutting feeling that I'll likely never experience this content because of a poorly optimised port. I can guarantee that if Sony had bought exclusive rights for the dlc they would have made sure there was parity across platforms. Disappointing.
