Quoting for emphasis. That's from stormwatcher182003 guys and that was the one guy i never thought would get perturbed by the way Bethesda is handling this issue....

At this point there really simply needs to be an update to at LEAST the quote involving "This is not a problem we're positive we can solve..." tweet.

It's been well over a month since they've said that - and they should probably NOW have a good idea of weither they CAN fix the problem or not.

If Bethesda CAN fix the problem, but it is going to take some time - then PLEASE LET US KNOW AT LEAST THAT!

It's not the waiting that's so much the problem anymore... now, it's the uncertainty of it even happening or NOT that is the problem!

Beth - just trust your audience... if you tell us it will take a few more months to get DG or other expansions ready, but you ARE NOW confident that you can solve the problem - we'll be short-term satisfied and TEMPORARILY move to another game in the meantime (Perhaps even Dishonored). Then, when DG or whatever comes out, we won't be as pissed as we'll know what we're waiting for.

It's either that... or aggravating your customers to the point of driving them away from your products. Not everybody has the patience of Jobe, you know!

I completely agree. It's not only highly disrespectful, unethical and belittling, etc. -- but incredibly unprofessional.

Well it's a shame that this is my first post.....a bloody winge about non-existent DLC for Skyrim for PS3 community.
Been playing with Skyrim for about a month now (I know, I'm a late starter), love the game..found out there was DLC and went searching,,,,,,,,no joy!!
After reading thread #26 and now #27 it seems that DLC is not something I should hold my breath for (with or without the waterbreathing potion).
I've played Fallout 3 and New Vegas and loved the concept with this game of an open sandbox game.
Just hate the tease of future DLC when not going to happen by all reports.

Bethesda's treatment of PS3 users has actively turned longtime fans into people who now openly detest this company.
They arent "treating" anyone unfairly, theyre working their hardest to make sure the content gets to you guys. But if them trying their best still doesnt please you, im not sure what to tell you.

Proof?
Because content means money and a happier fan base. They're not sitting there giving evil laughs and being spiteful.

I wasn't being flip, seriously where is the proof?

"We're working on it."

And? How close are you guys to any outcome? Cancelled? Close to working out some kind of work-around? You called Sony for help, what kind of traction on that front? Any? Good? Bad?

Sorry, but "We're working on it," hasn't cut it for a while. Personally, i'd like ppl that keep saying Bethesda is hard at work to put up now. Show me some real evidence that Bethesda is trying to be better. And no, the whole, "They want to make sure its perfect" line is a cop-out that has been dis-proven time and time again by Bethesda themselves culminating in the horrendous PS3 Skyrim launch on 11/11/11 itself.

At this point, you have to be pretty easily placated if you don't think that Bethesda has a firm idea of whether or not DLC will make it to the PS3 versions of Skyrim.

You know what? I would almost prefer that type of action to what is now and has been going on for months. At least then we'd know that Bethesda had some feelings about its PS3 customers besides little money plants they harvest every now and then-even if was just 'spite'.

As to revenue, Bethesda can't be so stupid they think they are making money using this 'string the customer along beyond all reason' approach. When they reached the stage of "works fine for most, but a few will have problems" it should have been released to Sony for approval. Then a warning stating that not everyone will experience the same level of gameplay should have been released.

As of now, they should just release the DLC and tell those few of us that still want it that we are rolling the dice. I know i'm not the only one with multiple save games i'm ok to chance using.

I could keep going on this impromptu rant, but stopping myself here. Will ask once more however, where is proof of

They could well have tried to release it to Sony and it could have been rejected for those exact reasons, which has lead to the current situation. We just don't know.

Here is the good news though.

GameInformer finally put this whole debacle in the GBU section.

And they put it under ugly.

They clearly blamed it on Beth too.

Good to see that the good people at GI feel the same way I do. Thought I was going crazy there for a sec.

The reason I feel disenfranchised by Bethesda is NOT because I think there is some secret conspiracy out there where Beth hates taking PS3 users money because it smells of Sony.

I feel disenfranchised because Bethesda has known that their engine doesn't work well on the PS3 since Oblivion. The scope of the game was too small to cause too many problems, but the problem existed nonetheless. What did they do? Nothing. The game saves kept getting bigger and bigger through FO3 and FONV and now whoopsypoopsie it snuck up on them like a level 100 sneak and they don't know why their newest and brightest SKYRIM won't work on the PS3.

Laziness my friends. That is all it comes down to. They didn't feel like changing the way their games save and load information to accommodate the PS3, and thus we find ourselves.

I know they want our money, but they certainly weren't going to work harder to get it. Now they have found themselves in a pickle, and if they can't get the DLC to the once raging and now ambivalent fans, I foresee many lawsuits in their future.

Hello, i am reading since thread 7. I play fallout series in Pc and Xbox and i play TES in Pc and Ps3.
The problem is not my Skyrim copy, which is broken in the garbage, i will buy it for Xbox but in SECOND hand market. NOT more new bethesda produts. This is a Shame, a broken product, this silence, this treatment...
Now has been Ps3 but in the future? what? i don't trust anymore.

I've not been on for a while and I see nothings changed, it's really a shame cause I luv playing skyrim and this puts me off playing it again,I'm only playing it now for trophies then it's gonna be left to gather dust there are other games to play out there.

I don't have anything new to report, but I do want to reassure you that we continue to work on Skyrim content for PS3. I don't have any timetables to share, but it's something we're working on everyday.

Thanks for responding... but can you simply tell us if PS3 DLC is at LEAST more of a "when" instead of an "IF" at this point? Have you at LEAST managed to find a work-around for the "problem you weren't certain you could solve" you discussed over a month ago?

As I said prior, it's not so much the lack of content that's cheesing off the players ... it's the total uncertainty of any DLC even happening that is driving players bonkers right now. Just saying that you're confident we will get DLC in even the next 6 months would be enough for some customers to know they're at LEAST getting SOMETHING. :P

Dont worry even though a lot of us PS3 players are getting mad we're still waiting for it... how do i know because people come here to look for any news about it that's why. just hope that if you guys make another game release some of the DLC in the exact date that you gave :DD

To be fair... how can they prove it?

Be more specific instead of being angry.

That's why I asked if they can at LEAST tell us if they're more confident in overriding the previous "problem they aren't certain they could solve" that they talked about a month ago. That would be proof enough for me.

So you (Bethesda) have made no progress whatsoever since June? Just incredible.

Thanks for the non-update. Almost 3 months and counting since the last real update.

Not trying to show you disrespect Gstaff, maybe you're as in the dark about everything as we are, I don't know. Just saying, I could get the same update from a random person on the street.

Me: "Do you know anything about the Skyrim DLC for the PS3?"

Random Person: "No I don't".

See what I mean?
