So much for that one-month exclusivity being for the first two DLCs. Looks like they've lied to everyone.

Did you expect anything less from Todd Howard and Pete Hines?

I think my optimism has run out. If they don't announce something today - anything other than "we are still working on it" - I will have to assume that PS3 users won't see a DLC until GOTY edition. And, even then, who knows.

Bethesda, if you need better PR folks, give me a call - and, just so you are clear - YOU DO!

So much for that "two DLC exclusive thing." Unless they didn't count Hearthfire as "real" DLC.

No mention of the PS3 console. I can't say I'm surprised.

Skyrim will be the end of Bethesda on the PS3 console, or any console that does not have anything to do with Microsoft.

I know it's early, but gstaff has been kind of quiet. One would think he would at least be making some comments on the blog.

As much as i'd think it would be the opposite, i'm not mad or even perturbed. Just sort of resigned at this point.

Though i will say, its too early still to assume too much.

It's been four months. Hardly seems "too early" to assume we're not getting jack from this company. We haven't so far.

Another piece of DLC and another set of 'Release' threads.

Bethesda continues to be an absolute embarrassment to the industry and a complete joke amongst their peers.

And apparently they learned nothing from the release of Hearthfire. Every single PS3 owner took that as a slap in the face when they released that before fixing Dawnguard for us and now they have done the exact same thing... Worse even, as they have not announced it for PC either.

I have had enough.
If they do not release the next dlc for ALL platforms by December 4th, and Dawnguard and Hearthfire too, I am officially and permanently boycotting anything Bethesda has had their hands on. Heck I might even start searching for like-minded people so that we might burn a banner with Bethesda's logo and name on it and maybe even some of the games and other merchandise too.
That will at least get the attention of the media and that seems to be the only way to get Bethesda to take things seriously, other than the whole lawsuit-thing if that can even be done.

Friendly advice I would not post things about boycotting or burning things...mods don't look kindly on those kinda of posts. Better to stay on the mods good side not their bad.

Oh i agree, don't get me wrong. I think there is just the one more item that has to be brought to the fore before Bethesda's fail can be declared both epic and complete.

The 1.8 Patch.

If/when this patch makes it to the PS3 is going to be the ultimate last straw i think. If/when it hits, if the DLC option isn't enabled on PS3 clients, that's when its case closed for Bethesda imo. So while it would have been a welcome change for the trailer to have actually come out and say, "DLC for EVERYONE!", i still say its just a tad too soon to concede the vigil.

That's just me anyways, i know i'm in the minority thinking this way.

Well it is not really a bad thing as boycotting is done when you are against something like a policy for instance. It is a legit way of showing the higher ups that you are angry and that things need to change.
As far as burning stuff goes, it is not like I would go out and burn stuff that didn't belong to me and stuff that you yourself have bought you can do with as you please. Besides what else can you do with the garbage at this point?

I decided that Skyrim was my last foray into Tamriel a goodly ways back. I'm only sticking around for the long-shot that Bethesda does something to rectify this mess. DG and now Dragonborn will be the last purchases in TES franchise i make to close out the Skyrim experiance for me(if i ever get the chance of course). I've put too much time into this game to just walk away before the end.

Now come any future TES or Fallouts or Anything with a Bethesda; those are stillborn to me. I'll never buy them used or new. I will keep up on the lore of Tamriel though through the Unofficial TES wiki, but that with be it.

I understand where your coming from just the mods remove posts involving such things, no point digging yourself a hole better to just fill them in.

Consider this: Bethesda made a deal with M$ to bundle Skyrim with a price droped XBOX 360 bundle for the holidays. And now you can get the all new exclusive DLC "Dragonborn" (only on XBOX 360) plus Dawnguard and Hearthfire is on sale too (Gold members only). So PS3 users, you feel that you were kicked in the scrotum and ovaries, Get the price dropped XBOX 360 bundle (better played with Kinect).

Thats about what? $500 people will give to M$ and Bethesda? What did you think? That they suddenly would made the DLC available on PS3 with all this money floating around?

But don't worry PS3 users, Gstaff said they were working on content for PS3, like Tshirts, boxes inside boxes, Beverage Coasters, Frisbies and pictures you can find in google yay!!!

I'll keep saying it: This is a great time to NOT give PS3 any DLC or even Patch 1.8

Pandering to Microsoft I can understand with the box set. But the 1.8 patch was supposed to be fixes. Why withhold that? Besides the fact that patches rarely do anything anyway. How many times have we seen the "fixes memory and stability issues" line?

Why withhold the patch? Only Gstaff can answer that, Why did they withhold 1.6?

Well 1.8 is also prep for Dragonborn and since the PS3 is never getting Dragonborn then there's not much incentive to shell-out the money for cert now is there?

If that sounds like a crazy conspiracy theory then just look to 1.6 and what happened with that on PS3.

I don't usually go in for the whole Bethesda Microsoft conspiracy thing but there is some merit to the idea. I don't think Bethesda have a deal with Microsoft though concerning the bundle. I think Microsoft have seen this mess that Bethesda have made dealing with their PS3 customers and decided to capitalise on it - makes sound business sense. Sony however will be furious with Bethesda over this debacle.

Well that is censorship and I thought most of us lived in free countries where we could say what we want. But point taken and if they decide to remove my post then so be it.

At this point I believe that I will be doing said things in the end (it won't change because they remove my post) because I highly doubt that Bethesda is gonna be fixing the dlcs before the deadline I have set. But we will see I guess...

That's a good point you got there.

I've just never seen a company so blatantly conduct themselves this way. Bethesda is seemingly knowingly destroying a considerable portion of the revenue stream chasing after a...i don't even know what you'd call MS in this scenario. A sponsor?
