Riften Massacre - Master Vampire Attacks... (imgs)

Post » Mon Nov 19, 2012 8:24 pm

Have an idea, the people having trouble with the vampire attacks, did they happen to chose THR vamp side?

I'm dawnguard, finished the MQ done quite alot of the side quests, and the only time I had any trouble with vampire attacks was far outside riften when going to the cave to dawnguard when I first downloaded it.

I theorise that if you side with the vampires these attacks become more dangerous and frequent, which I think is completely fair and beth shouldn't do a dam thing about it, these are the consequences, anyway, there evil blood svcking vampires, why should you care if your fellow vamps are getting something to eat? If you wanted to be all lovey and careing, should have sided with the dawnguard.
When dawnguard releases on the PC i will be joining the vampire side and if any vampires attack the towns I will break their skulls anyway since the npcs are MY meal and their blood belongs to me!

Actually thats really cool. (opinion)
Its not a normal day in riften, you will remember it at least :P

I really hope to see new features like this in the game (not necessary ''atacks'', but events that add life to the game like this one)

I haven't seen many vampire attacks, but the few I have had haven't been as brutal as that. I play on easy mode tho

NO! Must not listen to my Voice of Reason!!!

On a more serious note, this will just give me an excuse to go after the murderers and their accomplices.

And people say this isn't an issue. Clearly it is, but they're just too stubborn to realize that.

They'll also say he svcks at the game for not killing the vampires or magically teleporting over to stop them...

I would be cool with the attacks if they were only at night, but seriously in the middle of the day? that's [censored].

It's actually quite a nice feature I think- it adds realism to the game and keeps you on edge whilst you are in the cities instead of just wandering around eating bread and cheese and drinking fine wine. Skyrim is supposed to be a region plunged into chaos where no place in the province feels safe- adding this vampire attack feature (along with dragon attacks in cities) helps to add to that chaotic atmosphere. But, I admit, it would be better if the blacksmiths and other merchants were replaced by more merchants in order to fill the gap.

This and maybe you will learn to save more often.

Woah...

How many attacks of that ferocity would it take to empty Riften of non essentials?

As soon as I see vampires in a city I use the slow time shout in an attempt to kill them before they kill NPCs. It usually works but chain lightening has a habit of killing not only vampires...

I can see how a mage would be at a disadvantage there, of course I had an attack in falkreath and I accidentally hit a guard during the fight, they wouldn't accept a yield so I had to run like crazy to get out of there alive... stupid guards getting mad over a non-lethal mistake...

And then say vampire suicide squads the guards let wander into cities unchallenged (despite supposedly being worried about vampires) and then having ghost towns is "realistic"

You have to start with tfc 1 (free camera with stilled time) though, so you can spot them before they do damage ;)

If NPC's are getting killed, then I'm all for it. Team Vampires! Now if we could get rid of the Battleborns, I would be a happy person.

There's not enough ignorance in this thread. I should add some.

TC you're clearly not very good at playing the game to let so many die.

Also you should constantly reload your game if you dont like how the game is made.

They'll also start saying "These attacks are no more destructive than dragon attacks." An outrageous comparison.

Well by all reports, the odds of a dlc getting patched seem to be roughly between slim and zip.

So players may be stuck with this situation... honestly, not making it a triggered feature (that players can avoid) like dragons is a foolish oversight.

Certainly no word either way from the powers that be... so far.

Methinks I will wait to get it when it comes out on PC until a modder gets the vampire problem under control so Skyrim doesn't become empty.

Well for your information "MonkeyBiscuit & Merv" I don't OP My Char & its set to Master Difficulty...

I only set the One/two Handed to the first 5/5...
No Restoration/Smithing loop either...

Matter of choice, My Experience, My play style - Remember Single Player Game - My Actions do not Affect You in your Game!

If you think I am Mad or Upset. You are Mistaken, you need to stop Assuming... I never made a comment about not being content with the outcome...

And as a rule in RPG - due to the Hours you can spend & lose by not saving - Save Often & as much as Possible...

I did suggest some ways to alleviate some players frustrations by load prev Transition Auto-save or their save and wait-time 24 or so hrs...

its funny I thought alot of Dawnguard Skyrimmers would post their Vampire Attack Casualties (pics recommended)

Just my lil old 2nd hand septims... :)

You forgot: bring back to the store this product you don't want. Oh, it's a DLC; no refund available... <_< see why some people are so upset?
