The stuff with the textures happens when you open the inventory , the game puts the background things on low res so it can load faster , and when you get back to the game (close inventoty) the gloves and weapons high res textures aren't reloaded (if that makes sense because i am very sleepy lol) , a workaround is to reequip yer stuff :)

It doesn't matter if you install or not it might happen the same.

So this bug, does it happen all the time or only sometimes/most of the time?

So have a lot of other people, the bug still persists though. :(

So, don't install it to the Xbox360 Hard Drive, and get some Headphones to drown out the nose of the disc drive.

Small price to pay, still irritating.

I saw in another comment that one guy tested this and its not the case. He Played from the hdd, textures were bad so he deleted and played from disk. Textures popped back in no time and then stayed there without problems even after entering and exiting every menu in the game. So if this guy is telling the truth then its obviously a bug with the hdd install, not menu.

There is now a report that re-equipping is a workaround.

Pure rumor, up for contention by many. Don;t know who to trust. All we know for sure right now is that there is an issue.

Honestly I think people just look for reasons to get upset about some things. Yes it's annoying not getting the best textures from loading it to the HDD, but is it game breaking? No. Irritating? Yes.

I'll be playing it on my Xbox and although I almost always load from the HDD, I'll just have to svck it up and enjoy the game from the disc. No biggie.

But if we don't make a deal out of it, they will NEVER fix it. Some people are bothered by an ugly game that has no reason for being ugly.

It's not ugly, trust me, even with the texture problem. But it IS annoying when some things look worse than in Oblivion when you know they are supposed to look better.

I'm sure a fix will come very soon and for now, playing off the disc is fine.

PS: about the whole inventory menu and re-equipping thing... I don't know if that has much to do with it. It doesn't seem that way to me, anyway. And you can't equip wall carvings or things like that. My advice is, if you've experienced the problem when playing from the HDD, just delete the game. At first it will still have the blurry textures, but they will improve.

Am I allowed to post some of the evidence I've seen yet? It looks REALLY bad of the HDD, Definitely immersion breaking due to the inconsistencies in visuals.

PSS: Texturesfrom Swords, Stones, clothing, and my Hand are not really looking good (with the patch)

My advice is, if you've experienced the problem when playing from the HDD, just delete the game. At first it will still have the blurry textures, but they will improve.

If you delete the game and then clear the Xbox System Cache it will improve immediately when you start playing from disc again.

All we need is a quick one line update from Bethesda. Why is it so hard to provide this to a massive dedicated fan base, who have promoted their products relentlessly over the last 10 years!

I just need some clarity!

These low res hands/weapons are caused by going into and leaving the in-game menu.

To avoid this low res bug for now is don't go into your in-game menu.

I guess you all just have to wait until Bethesda patches it.

To be honest, if this was happening for me, I wouldn't care, I would be too focused on exploring and having fun doing so.
