This game, like many other games, is absolutely worth far more than $60 to many, many people. As others have pointed out, its pretty much the cheapest form of entertainment on a dollars per hour basis; its more cost effective than TV, its far more cost effective than movies or theater, and it is tiny in comparison to going to a concert or an amusemant park or really just about anywhere. If the only way to get skyrim was to pay several hundred dollars for it, lots of people would still do it, because it really is worth that much (to many people--not everyone). Bethesda clearly either believes that the increased number of sales from selling at $60 balances the loss in marginal profit or they think the negative PR from pricing their game far above the "norm" would do more harm than good. Either way, its good for us. I certainly won't complain that they're selling below what I value their product at, that's just more value for me
