While this looks visually impressive, do you have a performance option?
Even on a 4.6ghz i7 with 2x480gtx 1.5gb gpus, ssd hd, 8gb ram etc running things in 3d is starting to cause slow downs from normally smooth 60 fps with all these ultra high res mods.
Your slowdown issue isn't due to SMIM. Your machine is better than mine and I get ZERO impact with SMIM. The only setting I have off is ambient occlusion in the nVidia control panel. That destroys my performacne regardless of mods or not. Anyway, Skyrim HD was WAY, WAY more of an impact than my mod. High res textures slow the game down way more than high-polygon counts.
Yeah running lots of mods plus the dlc so I guess they are all adding up. I think the 3d takes a big percentage of performance, so I might have to consider getting rid of some of the texture packs now until the next batch of mega gpus are released.
As said above, high res textures slow the game down way more than high-polygon counts. You can throw an extra 80,000 polygons at the game and have no impact, but you put some 4096x4096 textures on the buildings, and then you often get stutters and other FPS drops.
Them tomatoes look good, but they're awfully bright red. Even if it is realistic, maybe a duller red would be better. I don't think anything else is the entire game is that bright red, so it really stands out.
Yeah, Bethesda made the tomatoes very bright. I was going to reduce but even the vanilla ones are bright. Maybe I'll lower it a bit more. But I did a test today with real tomatoes and sure enough they are the brightest objects in a room.
