Perhaps gamesas will take mercy on everyone and allow an earlier unlock, especially if the cat's out of the bag in a lot of places in Europe?
Pretty fing slim if you ask me.
the street date only exists to begin with so that stores dont feel burned if the product is available online before they get it.
So one of two things would have to happen,
1) steam makes a conscience decision to break their legally binding agreement with Bethesda to unlock the game at X time/date
2) Bethesda goes out of their way and spends the time to inform all of their retailers and distributors that because a handful of people didn't want to play by the rules, everyone can start selling the same.
1 is highly unlikely because steam is in the business of making money, Bethesda helps them do this. Screwing a good working arrangement with Bethesda is bad business.
2 is equally unlikely because from a business stand point, its a waste of time, effort, and money to go out of your way to open the release of your game when the scheduled release is a mere 2 days and change away.
